On our final full day at camp, the Scouts took part in 'Race Across Dorset' where they were dropped at a mystery location in their Patrols, and were then tasked with making their own way to Brownsea Island!

Once they arrived, we all renewed our promise at the Scout Stone and explored the island - after a quick ice cream stop! 🐿️🏝️⚜️

The Scouts travelled in style by steam train on the Swanage Railway for a day out at the beach. They completed a quiz around the town, had a go at crabbing and put their artistic and construction skills to the test in our sandcastle competition! 🚂 🏖️

On Wednesday, after a day of fun activities to gain points in the camp competition, the Scouts had a Christmas Hawaiian Eclipse Party, complete with solar eclipse, Hawaiian Shirts and Christmas dinner, followed by late-night hot chocolate on the beach. 🎄 ☀️ 🧑‍🎄

After a trip to Splashdown Waterparks for waterslides and a thorough wash, the Scouts had to plan, shop for and prepare a three course dinner for their Patrol and the Leaders. The menus included Catalan Sandwiches, Raman and fresh crepes! 🍜🥞😋

The Scouts were out and about on their expeditions in the sunshine yesterday, exploring parts of the Poole Harbour trail and the Purbeck Way 🥾. The hikes wouldn't be complete without fish & chips on the beach at Studland Bay! 🏖️

The Scouts have continued having a great time on summer camp in Dorset, including a trip to Corfe Castle 🏰, a quiz in Wareham, and a night sleeping in hammocks!

This time last week we held our AGM and BBQ at Scout Park!

It was fantastic to celebrate everything we've accomplished over the last year, and thank you so much to all the parents, young people, leaders and trustees (65 of us!) who came along to show their support for the group! ⚜️🌭🎉

This weekend our Cubs have had a brilliant time on the Kent coast! Yesterday they explored Sandgate, doing a litter pick on the beach and walking around the local area before tucking in to fish & chips on the beach. Today they visited Dover Castle, learning about the castle under Henry II and the secret underground tunnels! 🏰
