Home-Start Richmond, Kingston & Hounslow We are here to give a supportive start to struggling families with children under the age of 5

We support families in the boroughs of Richmond upon Thames, Kingston upon Thames and Hounslow with at least one child under the age of five, through our dedicated volunteers and we also offer support to families through term-time weekly online Family groups. Our co-ordinators are responsible for the day-to-day recruitment, training and support of the volunteers as well as liaising with referrers.

Our charity is supported by a Board of Trustee, who oversee our activities, providing strategic, funding and governance advice.

🌟 Family Support Team on Tour! 🏈 🌟

A huge thank you to the team at RFU Twickenham for their warm welcome and support during our Family Support planning meeting this week.

With inspiring stadium views as our backdrop, we spent the day mapping out innovations in the way we train volunteers to support families and children under five.

Special thanks to Ryan, the Duty Manager, and the wider team for their kindness and support (especially in the heatwave!).

We had a lovely time with some of our Home-Start families at Kew Gardens last week. Through music, singing, sound and movement we learnt all about bees 🐝 and even got to perform our very own waggle dance! 🎵

Kew Gardens was the perfect place for our families to spend time outdoors, connect with nature, and have lots of fun too.

These events are so important for supporting children’s curiosity, building confidence, while also creating opportunities for families to enjoy special moments and shared experiences 💚
