🏡 Become a foster carer 🏡

We are always looking to expand our list of trusted foster carers. Our foster carers provide valuable support to pugs in need, offering them a safe space in a home environment as they move forward into their new lives.

Fostering can be hard - your intention needs to be about supporting a dog in need, and working through any challenges or support needs they have, including finding ways to persevere if they are not settling well with resident pets. Throughout the whole period you will have the support of the charity, we will check in daily and be available to offer advice and tips where needed.

Our rescues tend to stay in foster care for 4-6 weeks. This timeframe allows them space to decompress from all the change, and enables us to learn about them and explore what would be the most perfect forever home for them.

💜 Adopted! 💜

Our cheeky chap Scampi (3 yrs, male) has now been adopted! This gorgeous boy came into our care needing a little extra help with his weight loss journey - and doesn’t he look great now! He still has a little more weight to lose, but his new family are committed to continuing with his healthy eating and exercise regime, ahead of him potentially needing BOAS surgery once he hits his target weight. He’s already blossomed so much in foster care and we hope this continues in his new home. He’s cheeky, playful, loves to cuddle and recently he has found his voice to share his discontent at seeing animals on tv! We can’t wait to hear about all the lovely adventures he will be going on with his new little pug brother.

🐶 Chickpea 🐶

Isn’t this senior lady just absolutely precious! Chickpea (11 yrs, female) has come into our care from the dog warden after being found as a stray. We know nothing of her history or why she was alone on the streets - but we are confident that she’ll be spoilt rotten in her foster home. She seems to be in relatively good health for her age, she came to us with an infection which is being treated with antibiotics, and as expected she needs a little TLC including some medicated drops for her ears, but otherwise she seems to be quite sprightly for her age. Personality wise she’s a cheeky lady who is already feeling more confident. She loves human company and has designated her foster mum as chief human (sorry foster dad!). We can’t wait to share her story with you as we watch her settle in and decompress.

🐶 Ravioli 🐶

This handsome man is Ravioli (5 yrs, male). He has come into our care after his previous owners did not feel that their home was the right environment for him. Ravioli is a lovely boy who is settling well into his foster home. He absolutely loves the sunshine and has found a favourite place in their garden where he can catch some rays while they do some gardening. He can be anxious about new situations and new people, but with gentle reassurance he gets curious and temptation gets the better of him so he will go over to say hello. He just likes to do things at his pace, which we are happy to support. We will continue his training during his time in our care, however this will be a long term need for him and, once ready for adoption, his new family will need to be committed to being patient as they help him learn and settle in.

🐾 Adopt me 🐾

Our little snuggle bear Nugget (1 yr, male) is now looking for his forever home. This little gingernut came into our care after his owner was taken into hospital and needed space to focus on her recovery post operation. He is very much a velcro pug who loves to be with you, and if he can’t be sat next to you, he needs to be able to see you and spy on you! He loves humans and will need someone from his new family to be home through the day and not leave him for long periods of time. He would be happy to live with gentle children over the age of 10 who don’t mind him getting a little giddy and jumping up to say hi. He has really enjoyed the company of his foster sister and will be looking for a home with a companion pug, preferably a similar aged or slightly older female who can provide him safety and comfort - and snuggle up with him for a cheeky afternoon nap in the sun!

He doesn’t look very happy about it but we promise that Macaroni (8 yrs, male) is very excited to share that he has now been adopted! This gorgeous boy came into our care after his previous owner was struggling to give him enough time, alongside running her business and looking after her young children. He blossomed in foster care and really came out of his shell, regularly letting his foster mum know that he wasn’t happy with her choice of Masterchef for tv viewing. We can’t wait to hear updates of him in his new home, we’re sure he’ll have his new family wrapped around his paws in no time!

Our lovely lady Noodle (10 yrs, female) has now been adopted! This sassy little lady came into our care after a relationship breakdown left her owner struggling to manage. Despite being tiny in size, the more she relaxed and settled into her foster home, the more chirpy she became - happily voicing her opinion and letting foster dad know when he wasn’t doing things to her satisfaction! She quickly became a firm favourite at her local cafe and had the staff bringing her puppycinos on a regular basis. Within minutes of meeting her forever family, she had them wrapped around her little paws and was telling them what to do. We can’t wait to hear how this little queen settles in.

A very lucky family are going to have their hands full with this active duo! Miso (7 yrs, male) and Sushi (7 yrs, female) have now been adopted and are already making themselves at home with their new family. This brother and sister duo came into our care after a relationship breakdown left their previous owner feeling very overwhelmed. Early on it was evident how bonded they are, relying on one another for comfort and company and spending all their time together. They settled well in their foster home, demanding a lot of cuddles and walks around the local park. Their new family shared that they can’t wait to get out and about more and take them for lots of long walks along the beach.

🐾 Adopt me 🐾

This little Cracker (1 yr, male) is now looking for his forever home. Cracker is a lovely little boy who is looking for a home where his humans have time and capacity to support to his training, and who understand that it will take time for him to learn. He can be anxious in new situations so we’d highly recommend enrolling him in puppy classes to not only help with basic commands, but to offer regular socialisation and confidence building. Given his need for reassurance and comfort, he will be looking for a home where his humans are around through the day and do not leave him for long periods of time. He could live as a solo dog or with one companion dog of a similar size. When he’s not having a well deserved nap, Cracker is an active boy and will be looking for a family that enjoy walks and activities. Whilst in our care he’s had his nares (nostrils) widened to help his breathing. He is now happily doing an hour a day in his foster home and loves exploring and learning about the world.

A bit of good news to start the week! Our little Pickle (6 yrs, female) has now been adopted. This cheeky little lady came into our care with another dog, but after careful assessment they were separated to enable us to find them both the happily ever after homes they deserve. Pickle’s foster mum shared what a lovely little lady she has been, with impeccable manners and a gorgeous temperament. We’re so pleased that she will be the centre of attention in her new home, with not one, not two, but three humans to dote on her!
