💜 Adopted! 💜

Look who’s found her forever home! Butterscotch (2 yrs, female) came into our care after her previous owner was finding it challenging to manage the relationship between her and their resident cats. She settled into her foster home quickly and her sassy personality definitely blossomed! Butterscotch has now been adopted and her new family are committed to supporting her ongoing training and helping find ways to reduce her fear based reactivity. She’s already got her new family wrapped around her little paws and they’re all besotted with her!

💜 Adopted! 💜

Pretty little Sundae (5 yrs, female) has now found her forever home. This gorgeous girl came into our care as a bit of a mystery - her microchip was unregistered and we had a very patchy history for her. Her last owners, an elderly couple, had taken her on temporarily for a family friend who then decided they didn’t want her back. They reached out to another charity for support as they felt she was too much for them to handle at their age and we were contacted to step in. She has now been matched with a family who can offer her lots of social activity and space to interact and engage with others. Her new human brothers have shared that they can’t wait to play with her and have ball games in the garden.

🐾 Adopt me 🐾

Are you looking for a little shadow who will follow you everywhere (bathroom included…)? Look no further than our gorgeous Popcorn (6 yrs, male)! This gentleman came into our care after his previous owner was being evicted from her home. Whilst in her care, we are advised he was kept crated for the majority of the time and this has sadly caused some anxiety for him. Despite his past, Popcorn adores human attention, but definitely prefers females and is particularly nervous around men. He is hoping for a home where his humans are around throughout the day and have a quiet calm home without lots of visitors. He is overall a healthy boy but does have low grade myelopathy in his back legs, at present this isn’t stopping him from enjoying his walks and he is doing around 45-60 minutes a day. He would like a home with a canine friend of a similar or older age who can provide him companionship and help him feel safe.

🏡 Could you be a foster carer for the NPPT? 🏡

As part of National Volunteer Week, we are keen to expand our list of trusted foster carers and would welcome applications from suitable homes across the country. Fostering can be hard, we often don’t know much about a dog before it enters our care and we cannot guarantee how they will get on with existing pets. You are very much accepting the unknown and need to feel prepared to support a dog through any challenges that may occur. That being said, it’s also very rewarding 💜

Our foster carers provide valuable support to pugs in need, offering them a safe space in a home environment as they move forward into their new lives. Our rescues tend to stay in foster care for around 4-6 weeks. During this time we offer them space to decompress from all the change and explore what would be the most perfect forever home for them. Throughout the whole period, our Rescue Team will regularly keep in touch and check in, offering advice and guidance where needed. If you have a lot of love to give, patience and the space to welcome a pug in need into your home, please fill out an application form via our website. It can be challenging - but nothing beats that feeling when you see your foster change from a scared and anxious soul to a confident and sassy little potato!

💜 Celebrating National Volunteer Week 💜

1-7 June 2026 marks National Volunteer Week in the Uk. This annual campaign is dedicated to saying a huge thank you to the millions of people across the country who generously give their time to charities and local causes.

We wanted to take a moment to thank all our volunteers - those who help with fundraising, transport, conducting home checks, updating our website, running our social media and providing administrative support to the charity - often whilst juggling full time jobs. We are a family and we simply couldn’t do what we do without your support and the kind donation of your time. Your help means the everything to us, and to all these lovely pugs we help. Thank you! 🐾

🤎 Celebrating our golden oldies 🤎

2026 has been a busy year already, with many dogs coming into our care and seeking a safe space to live. We get a lot of applications requesting younger dogs and puppies, so we thought we’d share this post to celebrate our gorgeous golden oldies!

Every pug that comes into our care is different. They each have their own quirks, training needs and personalities. Some are high energy and active, some prefer a gentle stroll round the block. Some need a companion, others prefer humans over dogs. However what is true for all is that they deserve to find the most perfect forever home - a home where they will be treasured, kept safe and loved unconditionally. We definitely have a soft spot for the seniors and are honoured to support them as they find a lovely retirement home. Feel free to post photos of your own seniors below! 💜

💜 Adopted! 💜

We’re very pleased to share this news - our lovely little Muffin (2 yrs, female) has officially been adopted! Muffin came into our care after she was found dumped on the streets with a very large prolapse - likely a result of being used for breeding. A kind Samaritan (who just happened to be a fellow pug enthusiast!) took her to the vets and sought medical treatment, before contacting us once she was recovered. We’re a little unsure of Muffin’s exact age as her microchip wasn’t correctly registered, but we estimate she is still only young. She’s very playful, loves exploring and walking, and is making herself quite at home with her new family! They’re already planning their camping first holiday together and hope to take her on lots of adventures. We wish Muffin all the best and are so pleased we could help her find happiness after such a rough start.

💜 Home check volunteers needed 💜

We are supporting a high number of dogs coming into our care and are therefore looking to expand our team of home check volunteers to help us find the most lovely homes for our precious rescues.

All our home checks are done virtually, using FaceTime or WhatsApp video calls. Volunteers will need to be reliable, punctual and able to confidently chat to potential adopters. They will need to have access to a personal laptop and smartphone. All training and shadowing will be provided by the Rescue Manager.

If you feel able to support us with a 2-3 hours of your time each week, please complete a request form via our website and the Rescue Manager will reach out to chat. You can also email [email protected] to register your interest.

🐶 Donut 🐶

Another gorgeous boy has arrived into the care of our charity this week. With thanks to our volunteers who helped collect him over this very sunny bank holiday weekend, we are pleased to introduce Donut (8 yrs, male). We were asked to help this lovely boy as his owners are emigrating and are unable to take him with them. He’s a cheeky little chap who has been happily making himself at home and following his new foster mum around the house - she says he is the definition of a velcro dog! He has quite a large lump on his back leg which we are advised is benign, but we will ask our vet for advice as we don’t want it to be causing him any discomfort. He’s also a little overweight and has quite long nails so we will be supporting him with a health kick over the next couple of weeks before he goes up for adoption. He loves being in the garden and will definitely need a forever home with an outdoor space for him to sunbathe in!

🐶 Popcorn 🐶

Introducing Popcorn (6 yrs, male) and his lollopy tongue! 🤭. This lovely boy has come into our care after his previous owner was being evicted from her home. She had given him to a family member but they were unable to keep him due to having their own pets. We’re advised that he was being kept crated for the majority of the day and wasn’t being walked, and will therefore need support as we gradually build up his stamina. He was incredibly overwhelmed on arrival and didn’t want to get out of the volunteers car, but with gentle coaxing (and some squeezy cheese!), they were able to get him out and he’s already starting to come out of his shell and chase his foster siblings round the garden!
