✨ This Week's Thought ✨
"Dear friends,
As we celebrate the Feast of St Luke, we are reminded that the Gospel is not simply a message to be heard, but the good news of God’s love made flesh in Jesus Christ. In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus sends his disciples out with the words, “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few.” He calls us, too, to share in his mission, not trusting in our own strength, but in the grace of God.
At St John’s, this begins in the ordinary moments of our lives: in welcoming the stranger, caring for those who suffer, and sharing the hope we have found in Christ. We are called not only to speak of God’s Kingdom, but to make it visible through lives shaped by his love.
May St Luke inspire us to proclaim the Gospel with both word and deed.
Yours in Christ,"
