Today is Rare Disease Awareness Day. On Thursday we were invited to the Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children to witness first-hand the work this cutting edge centre at the global fore of diagnostic and therapeutic research does.

The startling facts is whilst the individual diseases are rare, over 300 million people are living with one. Sadly 75% of rare diseases occur in children with 95% not having approved treatment on NHS.

Magnus would have been an outpatient at this centre on the Falcon ward. With the funding from supporters like you and I to cures for the incurable can be found.

Together we can do so much

When you receive a thank you card from the hospital that cared for your little one with love and tenderness during the toughest times. This week thanked us for our continued support in memory of little Magnus, and whilst we can’t change the devastating outcome of his life, we can build his legacy to help change outcomes for others.

So we say thank you to Great Ormond Street Hospital for all they have done, it’s our privilege to fundraise and help other seriously ill little ones and their families 💕

This 7th - 14th Feb is Congenital Heart Disease (CHD)Awareness Week. A time to talk about Congenital Heart Disease, something that 13 babies are diagnosed with every day in the UK.

It’s really important more people know the signs of having CHD, little Magnus’s rare heart conditions weren’t detected until he was 4 months old. Help us to spread the word and enable vital detection on other little ones earlier.
