We are excited to introduce the theme of the 14th Polish Economic Forum: “The Next Chapter: Unlocking Poland’s Economic and Political Potential.”
This year’s theme explores the critical opportunities and challenges that will shape Poland’s trajectory over the next quarter-century. Central to our discussions will be Poland’s evolving role within the European Union, including an in-depth analysis of the conditions under which adopting the Euro could be economically advantageous for the country. We will also address the stagnation of Poland’s capital market and its implications for financing innovation, examine the globalisation potential of Polish companies, and consider the strategic importance of investments in energy and transport infrastructure for building resilience to external shocks and supporting sustainable development.
The theme is reflected in this year’s artwork: Józef Chełmoński’s Partridges. The painting captures a group of partridges pushing forward through a barren, snow-covered field, braving the unforgiving winter landscape. This imagery symbolises resilience, perseverance, and the determination to move ahead despite challenging conditions – themes that closely mirror Poland’s current position. Just as the partridges endure the harshness of winter, Poland faces the critical task of navigating economic and political challenges while seizing opportunities for growth. The stark yet hopeful scene serves as a metaphor for the nation’s journey: forging ahead, adapting to changing conditions, and unlocking its true potential. It illustrates the essence of The Next Chapter – a story of resilience, growth, and future prospects.
Join us on March 14-15 in London to engage in these vital conversations and help shape the future of Poland.
