When Musarrat lost her child during birth, her husband divorced her and walked away, calling her useless.

She has no one left but her mother, who is elderly, unwell, and diabetic. To survive, Musarrat cleans homes and does massage work, coming home to a bare rented room. Grey walls, no electricity, no fan, not even a washroom.

When we reached her, she had nothing to eat. Through your support, we were able to bring her a little relief, but her needs are far from over.

For most of us, it’s the cost of two coffees a week or a takeaway lunch. We spend it without a second thought.
 
But in Pakistan, that exact same £15 is a lifeline. It is a full education package that completely rewrites a child’s future for an entire month.

Ayesha has five daughters and a husband who is battling mental illness and can no longer work.

She used to earn a little through stitching, but her own health has taken that from her too. Her family walked away when she needed them most.

There is no gas in her home, so she cooks over burning timber. She lies awake worrying about her daughters' futures and their marriages, with no one to lean on.

Through your support, we've been able to reach families like hers. But Ayesha's story isn't finished, and she needs more hands beside her.
