🐕‍🦺The Army Benevolent Fund will support Service Dogs UK with a grant of £15,000 towards the operating costs of their Female Veteran Project.

Developed following consultation with female veterans and specialist organisations, the Female Veteran Project recognises that some women may feel more comfortable accessing support in female-only settings.

By removing barriers to participation and creating a safe, supportive environment, the project will enable more female veterans with PTSD to benefit from the life-changing partnership of an assistance dog.

Age in Spain will continue to provide critical support to veterans and their families in Spain, helping them to navigate later-life welfare challenges and maximise independence, thanks to our grant of £15,500.

Understanding how to access social care and welfare abroad can be challenging, particularly for older veterans. Our grant will support the continuation of the Veterans’ Support Service, which provides practical assistance, advocacy and guidance to veterans living in Spain, as well as support for family members and carers.
