RC Canary Wharf was proud to support this year’s Mini London Marathon, where nearly 20,000 children crossed the finish line.
A team of 20 volunteers distributed water to the runners, including members from RC Canary Wharf, RC Tower Hamlets, RC Putney, one Direct Member, as well as family and friends—highlighting strong Rotary collaboration.
The following day, one of our runners took part in the London Marathon, raising funds to be shared between the supported charity and the District Fund (TBC).
Looking ahead, RC Canary Wharf has one place available for the 2027 London Marathon, with a minimum fundraising requirement of £2,000. One runner has already expressed interest, and we are planning to continue this initiative next year.

Great to see so many members at last week’s meeting and to welcome AG Tony and District Governor Elect Sree.

A few years ago, the Rotary Club of Canary Wharf was a small group. Today, it has nearly tripled in size and continues to grow its impact through purposeful service.

We were also delighted to welcome four guests who came to learn more about what we do. Hearing from Sree and Tony was a powerful reminder of the global reach of Rotary International and the values that guide us: Fellowship, Integrity, Diversity and Service.

Proud to see our club living these values and building momentum for the year ahead.

Thank you all for a terrific Rotary meeting last night, and special thanks to Manish and Meenu for so generously opening your home to us. The food was delicious, the views from the balcony were wonderful, and it was a real pleasure to spend time together.

It was especially lovely to see Yukako-san, who joined us all the way from Germany.

We have some exciting initiatives ahead, including London Marathon Foundation volunteering in April, and building connections with local organisations such as a food bank and a city farm.

If you’re interested in friendship, service, and making a positive impact in our community, we would love to welcome you to join us at the Rotary Club of Canary Wharf. 🙏🏽

We are delighted to support our fellow Rotarian, Takashi Nishida, who will be running the 2026 TCS London Marathon in aid of the Rotary Club of Canary Wharf.

After taking up running later in life, Takashi has embraced this incredible personal challenge to help make a positive difference through Rotary’s charitable work. Completing a marathon is no small feat, and every donation helps amplify the impact.

If you would like to support Takashi on this journey, please consider donating or sharing his page below. Your encouragement truly matters.

An energising and inspiring meeting on Monday 5th of Jan 2026 at Canary Wharf (MMY).

We were delighted to welcome London District Governor Adrian Faiers, who joined us and shared insights from his 20+ years as a Rotarian. His experience sparked a dynamic and forward-thinking discussion about the future of Rotary in London.

Together, we explored how Rotary can evolve, grow, and stay relevant in a changing city. While London was once the second-largest Rotary district in the world, we focused not on the past, but on the opportunities ahead. Attracting new members, engaging younger professionals, and re-imagining how Rotary creates impact in today’s world.

The conversation was full of ideas, energy, and a shared commitment to building a stronger, more vibrant Rotary community for the next generation.

An exciting evening that reinforced why Rotary matters now more than ever. Huge thanks to Adrian for joining us and to everyone who contributed to such a positive and motivating discussion.
