Youth Voice Network came ready to learn, question and work alongside Liberty Investigates

Our young people explored what it means to investigate an issue from understanding who is impacted, who is responsible and why it matters to thinking how stories can reach wider audiences

With journalists Sam Gelder and Aaron Walawalkar they explored the different sides of journalism.

Key takeaway… Journalism isn’t just newspapers and headlines 📰👀

Voyagers discovered just how many ways there is to tell a story from social media to documentaries and digital content, and that their voices can be part of change!

After a long and meaningful process, witnessing our young people listen to, learn from and honour the stories of the Windrush generation has been incredibly special. ❤️

We’re immensely proud and grateful to now hand over our Stories of Windrush book to Hackney Archives, where these memories, voices and histories will be preserved for generations to come.

Our deepest thanks go to every elder who shared their story with us, both those who are still here with us and those who have since passed. Your voices, memories and experiences are at the heart of this project.

Thank you also to Hackney Archives, The National Archives, and most importantly, our incredible young people who listened, researched, created and helped carry these stories forward. 🤎

Honoured to celebrate 30 years of Chats Lunch Club ✨💫

From listening to the stories of elders, to hearing founder Betsie reflect on the journey of building Chats, every moment carried history, resilience, and love.

With good food, live Caribbean music from Tobago & Alexander the Great, heartfelt words from Chats Founder Betsie and , and a special certificate ceremony recognising those who have kept Chats going for three decades, it was truly a celebration to remember.
