Sea Cadets Wandsworth

Sea Cadets Wandsworth We are Wandsworth, Chelsea & Fulham Sea Cadets, part of the UK's largest maritime youth charity. Everything raised directly benefits the young people we serve.

Whether at sea or on land, we offer young people in London amazing opportunities for personal development. By learning new skills and working in teams we offer an environment where young people find new confidence and inspiration. As Sea Cadets, young people flourish, learn key life skills and achieve qualifications in a range of areas, all of which boosts their confidence as they prepare for the rest of their lives. We offer them an alternative way of spending their free time that broadens their life experiences. We're tackling the serious issue of young NEETs, (those not in education, employment or training) by helping young people into further education and onto career pathways in a range of areas. As an independent charity, part of the national Sea Cadets, your support is vital to us. We rely on the goodwill of donations, fundraisers, our local community and businesses for financial support to keep the doors open. Charity No: 303283

⚓ Volunteers' Week Spotlight: COs & UMT Chairs ⚓

Ever wondered who keeps the unit shipshape and sailing in the right direction? 🤔

Our Commanding Officers and UMT Chairs! Between solving problems, supporting volunteers, juggling paperwork, and somehow knowing what's going on at all times, they're basically part leader, part organiser, part magician. 🎩✨

A huge thank you for everything you do behind the scenes to keep our units thriving and our cadets smiling.

👏 We salute you (and your inboxes)!

⚓😄 Volunteers' Week Spotlight: Sea Cadet Chaplains 😄⚓

Ever wondered who can bless a boat, survive a wet camp weekend, offer wise advice, drink endless cups of tea, and still remember everyone's name?

Meet our Sea Cadet Chaplains!

Part listener, part cheerleader, part counsellor, and occasionally part weather-resistant deckhand, our chaplains are always on hand to support cadets and volunteers through the highs, lows, and everything in between.

They may not know all the knots, but they certainly help keep us all tied together as a community!

A huge thank you to our fantastic chaplain volunteers for the time, care, laughter, and encouragement you bring to Sea Cadets every day

⭐️VOLUNTEERS WEEK⭐️

This Volunteers’ Week, we’re giving a big salute to our amazing Junior Sea Cadet Training Officers and Unit Training Officers!

From planning exciting activities to sharing skills, encouragement and the occasional well-timed sense of humour, these dedicated volunteers help turn training nights into memorable adventures.

Their energy, patience and commitment inspire cadets to grow in confidence, teamwork, as well as leadership. All while making learning fun.

Behind every successful parade, challenge and achievement is a volunteer helping young people chart their course and reach their potential.

Thank you!!

WOW! what a weekend we had!!!

A big shout out to AutoTech and Tam Leisure both in New Malden, for all your help and support last Friday.

On Friday the CO was trying to take the RIB to the coast to get some urgent repair work done. BUT we had a series of unfortunate issues, that ended up with the trailer needing 2 new wheel bearing, 4 hours later than planned the RIB arrived at the coast, to get the necessary work done. We look forward to the quick return of Challenger after Phase 2 of her refurbishment.
