We are looking for young people postively contributing in all areas - creative arts, sports, music, academically, entrepreneurial, community, overcoming adversity, etc. Please share any stories you have. We want to challenge the 49% of the UK population that have a negative view of young people (according to a poll commissioned by Barnardos). We are happy for you to submit a story and where possible, we would also like to interview the young person so their voice can be heard. Please get involved. Also, any online stories you come across, please share on this page and we will add them to the blog.

To start, we have created a blog that will contain links to positive stories in the media online about young people. However, we are aware that there are so many young people out there achieving great things and making positive contributions whose stories are not reported in local or national press. We would like to use our blog as a platform to share their stories. So if you know of any young people aged 21 or younger with positive stories to share, please let us know and we will feature them on the blog. http://wearecatalystsforchange.blogspot.com/

The Catalyst for Change project has evolved a great deal over the past couple of months however it's aim has remained the same. To challenge the negative stereotype and perception of young people by acknowledging their positive achievements and the positive contribution they are making to their local community and society as a whole.
