💛 Our Trustee, Jacky Halton, recently visited Crofton Hammond Infant School to deliver a very special Clever Never Goes lesson.

As a former headteacher at the school, Jacky said it was a real joy to return to the classroom. Crofton Hammond was one of the very first schools to adopt, and it’s fantastic to see the programme still going strong, with teachers, parents and pupils fully engaged with the learning.

Jacky also shared how encouraging it has been to see the positive impact Clever Never Goes has had on children’s understanding of how to keep themselves safe over the past three years.

In June 2021, the Metropolitan Police Service officially launched a London-wide Clever Never Goes rollout. Metropolitan Police Service Schools Officers are now able to deliver Clever Never Goes in primary schools across the capital.

The launch follows an extensive pilot of police delivery of Clever Never Goes in 37 schools with universal support for force-wide rollout of the programme.

On Tuesday 28/04/26 PC Cain and PC Barclay attended at Braemar Primary School to speak to children about the dangers of talking to strangers, with an input called Clever Never Goes.

Braemar is a picturesque travel destination, and is getting busier with tourists year on year, so it was important for the pupils to learn about the risks strangers pose and to recognise a safer stranger and safer places.

The pupils were very attentive and aware of their surroundings.

They enjoyed an energetic game of Friend Friend Stranger a play on Duck Duck Goose and the pupils then taught the officers how to play thumbs up heads down!

Both officers are recovering well!
