It was wonderful to see our ‘Transitioning to adulthood’ poster on display at The Community Research Initiative Showcase at UCL East! A student from our research team had presented the poster to guests. 📃

The Community Research Initiative Showcase benefits both students and charities, turning students' academic expertise and inquisitive thinking into valuable data that supports charitable work.

We're pleased to see one of our service users included in this ITV News report, which highlights Baroness Casey's comments on NHS treatment and attitudes towards people with learning disabilities.

The report also features the experiences of people with learning disabilities and their families, reinforcing the need for high-quality, person-centred care and support.

Baroness Casey has confirmed that her final recommendations on social care and funding will be delivered by summer 2027.

We had a wonderful time accompanying Joseph, a Service User Volunteer to Tower Hamlets Town Hall in Whitechapel for the CICT Providers Forum!

Joseph spoke at the 'Partnership Building' session, centred around the empowerment of young people. Joseph presented a story of his time as a service user, and later a volunteer. His speech was incredibly impressive and he hopes to future work experience to continue building on his achievements 💬

It was fantastic to celebrate innovation, collaboration, and co-creation at the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design Student Design Awards this week.

Our partnership with UAL: University of the Arts London on the Fixperts project has been a tremendous success.

Congratulations to Edward, whose project, Mind the Yap, was named the overall winner of the Julia Cassim Fixperts Award 2026. Presented as part of INCLUDE London 2026 at the Royal College of Art, the project is a brilliant example of how lived experience, creativity, and collaboration can come together to create meaningful solutions that foster connection. 👏

🎭 In honour of Notting Hill Carnival, we hosted our very own Carnival-themed disco!

Everyone got into the spirit by wearing colourful masks, with some proudly showcasing masks created at our recent Aviva corporate volunteering event. Best of all, the event helped raise funds for Centre 404!
