Prospex is a grassroots, Islington-based youth charity, supporting all young people aged 8-19 many of which have had life chances affected through measures outside their control. Through our 3 work-streams we use engaging recreational activities, projects and training to aid in our children’s and young people’s social, personal and educational skills development. This helps them to recognise their

individual abilities, whilst getting to the root cause of any issues potentially hindering their success in life.

• Street Teams – Detached youth work for local young people and community

• Youth Hubs – Community centre based sessions providing a free and safe space for young people to participate in positive activities and training, plus access relevant information and advice

• One-2-One – A relational mentor programme

Our regular projects include Healthy Bodies Healthy Minds, Duke of Edingburgh Awards Scheme, Sports, Cooking, Gardening, Young Leaders Program, Employability Skills and MechaniX

🚨 Half Marathon Space! 🏃

Have you been looking for that good cause to run for, or even just a reason to get out there moving? We have a space for the Saucony Run Shoreditch Half on the 20th September!

Alongside two other fantastic runners, we’re looking for a dedicated individual to help us raise money for Prospex Youth Charity so we can continue supporting Islington’s young people at a time where are work is more important than ever but funding is even tighter

A few snaps from our latest residential 📸

We took some of our youngest (and most energetic!) to Bounds Green Campsite for a 2 night stay. For a lot of them, it was their first time away from home and they couldn’t have made us prouder 💪

They learned bushcraft skills like fire starting, water filtering and foraging 🔥 as well as playing a LOT of games 🎯

We’re still recovering, but we can’t wait to share more from this wild weekend 🏕️

Happy Pride from everyone at Prospex! ❤️🌈

We’re proud to be an inclusive space for the entire LGBTQIA+ community, and we’ll be celebrating Pride for the entirety of June alongside the whole community. We’re also open for drop ins and 1-1 mentoring sessions for anybody who might need support and a safe space to talk 🥳

A huge thank you to who stepped to the rescue last month with a replacement defibrillator after the one at the Underground Youth Centre disappeared ❤️

Our CEO Beef said “We know from experience how important the defibrillator is to our local community. After it went missing, Heart Heroes were quick to step in with a brand-new AED, with all the support needed to get it up and running. We can’t thank James and his team enough, and we’re proud that Prospex is home to life-saving equipment that can serve the neighbourhood everyday”.
