Everybody, will you be there? 🇯🇲

In just two days’ time, we’ll be coming together for the Jamaica Basic Schools “Run For Jamaica”, supported by Jamaica’s Inspired, Funky Fitness, Sweaty in the City, radio partners, and a host of amazing organisations .

A special thank you to our sponsors Grace Foods and VM Group for helping to make this possible.

We are calling on everyone to come out, show up, and support this important cause. Find someone you can sponsor, bring someone with you, or take part yourself. You still have two days to fundraise, so let’s push as hard as we can and raise as much as possible for Jamaica’s basic schools.

A huge shout-out to Carina White, one of our key members of Jamaica’s Inspired, who flew in all the way from the United States to support the movement and conduct interviews for us

Carina interviewed proud Jamaican heritage voices including Love and MP Dawn Butler , helping us shine a light on the power of community, culture, education, and giving back.

This is more than a run.
This is about legacy.
This is about our children.
This is about Jamaica. 🇯🇲

We are making a *serious* appeal to
membership clubs, walking and running groups, youth groups and members of the public to get involved and support this important fundraiser for Jamaica.

Whether you are a walker, runner, fitness enthusiast, community supporter, or someone who simply wants to help, we are inviting you to take part in the Jamaica Basic School Fun Run/Walk – Run for Jamaica.

This fundraiser is especially important because Hurricane Melissa caused severe devastation to the basic school and primary school we are supporting. The storm left the school badly damaged, disrupting the education of children who depend on it every day. Classrooms, learning spaces, and essential school facilities have been affected, and the community needs urgent support to rebuild and recover.

I truly hope as many people as possible will participate, donate, sponsor, and help spread the word. Every step taken, every pound raised, and every act of support will make a difference to the children, families, and community who are still trying to get back on their feet.

Please get involved. Walk, run, donate, sponsor, and stand with Jamaica.

We have to celebrate our members who are doing phenomenal work for Jamaica.

Today, we celebrate Angelia Christian a Jamaican-inspired member and one of our special, dynamic Jamaicans in the diaspora. Angelina is relentless in her pursuit to support Jamaica and Jamaican initiatives. She emails everyone, WhatsApps everyone, follows up with everyone, and never stops pushing when it comes to helping the island she loves.

Many of us know Angels story. After her two daughters almost drowned and there were no ambulances available, she turned that painful experience into purpose. Instead of simply being angry or discouraged, she chose action. She went hard for Jamaica, and for the past 15 years, she has done phenomenal work to support, uplift, and serve the island.

Her commitment has been a true testament to what it means to be Jamaican in the diaspora someone who does not forget where they come from, someone who uses their voice, their network, and their passion to create real impact.

Today, her work is being recognized through a television report broadcast in Jamaica and the UK, allowing more people to see the powerful contribution she continues to make.

Angelia Christian is a reminder that one person with passion, purpose, and persistence can make a lasting difference. Today, we celebrate her, we honor her, and we thank her for going hard for Jamaica. .8003

🌟 Celebrating Our Member: Sacha Gillin 🌟

We are proud to celebrate and recognise one of our outstanding members, Sacha Gillin, who, together with her family, is organising a fundraising concert in support of an upcoming rebuild mission to Jamaica this August.

This initiative will see a team of 40 individuals travelling to Jamaica, including work in St Elizabeth, to support rebuilding efforts and strengthen communities on the ground. This is a powerful example of what is possible when families, friends, and communities come together with purpose, compassion, and commitment. Through Impact, this mission reflects a heart to mend, restore, and uplift not just buildings, but lives. Sacha is also one of our key members who consistently supports fundraising initiatives, including her ongoing commitment to children through the Jamaica Basic School Foundation. Year after year, she shows up, gives generously, and leads by example.

We see you, Sacha.
We appreciate you.
We celebrate you.
