🧶 Small Wonders, Big Impact

Our Youth Advisory Board has been diving deep into the topics of anxiety and stress this quarter - specifically the heavy weight of exam season. 📚✨

Instead of just talking about the problem, our members wanted to find a way to offer support from young person to young person. After a brainstorming session, a plan was hatched and the “Worry Worms” were born! 🐛

These little knitted companions are designed to be a tactile reminder that you’re not alone when things feel overwhelming.

*The update?*
The knitting has officially begun! 🧶 Our YAB members are taking this mission very seriously, spending today’s session mastering the art of the stitch. From tangled yarn to finished worms, the dedication is real.

Stay tuned to see these little guys come to life!

Empowering the next generation of talent. 🎙️

We’re reflecting on an incredible half term with our Vocalized Extra young people. Beyond the technical skills gained in songwriting and recording, the true impact has been the increase in confidence as these young artists reclaimed their voices in a professional setting.

Seeing them transition from initial workshops to recording at the legendary Dean St Studios in Soho has been a powerful reminder of what’s possible when young people are given the right platform. 🚀

Looking back at an incredible night at the Nightlife Football Tournament 2025. ⚽️✨

The energy was unmatched as the community came together for another year of competition, connection, and celebration. What started as a tribute to those lost in the Grenfell Tower fire has grown into a powerful tradition for North Kensington’s youth—proving that football is so much more than just a game.

Beyond the goals and trophies, the impact of Nightlife 2025 is what truly stays with us:

🌱 Building community: Strengthening the bonds that make our neighborhood resilient.

🧠 Focusing on wellbeing: Prioritising mental and physical health in a safe, supportive space.

🤝 Creating opportunity: Opening doors through scouting and mentorship while making lifelong memories.

From the music and the haircuts to the high-stakes 5-a-side matches, it was a night to remember. Huge thanks to all the partners who made this happen. 💚

🎄 A Night of Festive Glory! 🎶

What an absolute honour it was for our CEO, Tania Moore, to be invited to deliver a reading at this year's prestigious RBKC Mayor's Christmas Carol Service! ✨

The atmosphere in the stunning surroundings of St Mary Abbots Church, Kensington, was simply magical—a truly unforgettable evening that marks the beginning of the holiday season.

We were so proud to see Tania represent YAA and our services at this special event, which also helped shine a light on youth work and the young people in our community.

It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of community, charity, and the festive spirit!

A huge thank you to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea for the gracious invitation! 💚

HUGE shoutout to our incredible Youth Advisory Board (YAB)! 🌟

They absolutely crushed it at the Mayor for London Fund's Campaign Pitch Event, repping YAA and pitching their game-changing social action project for All Saints Catholic College! 🎤

What's the big idea? A brand new, democratically elected Student Advisory Body for Y9-Y11 students! Think of it as a direct line to the teachers, letting young people actually design their own PSHE classes. 🔥

This means you decide the life skills and lessons you need. Right now, they're looking into bringing in mental health workshops with professional centers as their first co-designed classes! 🧠

Our young people are not just waiting for change—they are leading it! This is what happens when you champion youth voice. 🙌

Workshop recap - Real talk on wellbeing 💡

We wrapped up November's Men's Health focus by hosting two vital mental health and wellbeing workshops for the boys in RBKC!

These sessions were powerfully led by Denise, the inspiring founder of . 🧠

The focus? Giving young people the practical tools and tips they need to navigate challenging times. We got real about destigmatising mental health for men and learned how to spot the signs when our mental health might be dipping.

One of the coolest takeaways was exploring how stress isn't always the enemy—it can actually be beneficial, especially when preparing for things like exams! The boys came away with concrete strategies for managing stress and protecting their wellbeing in high-pressure situations.

A massive thank you to Denise and the team for empowering our young men with these essential skills!

Let's keep these important conversations going! Checking in on the young men in your life is the first step toward better mental health.

🎨 Two weeks of inspiration at the V&A! ✨

We're already two weeks into our incredible three-week partnership with the and it has been absolutely amazing! 🤩

This time we did a deep dive into identity and community, guided by the brilliant V&A Resident Artist, Raafaye Ali.

This week was a major highlight: A special trip to the V&A museum where we explored the fantastic Design and Disability exhibition.

The girls were so engaged, and it sparked incredible conversations! After the tour, they channeled their inspiration into designing unique typography based on words and themes that resonated with them from the exhibition.

Swipe to see some of their creative work! ➡️

Next week, we finalize everything as the girls transform their concepts into final posters! The best part? Their work will be featured in a special exhibition at the V&A in December! 🖼️ We can't wait for you all to see it.

Stay tuned for the final reveal!

✨ Excited for the future of dance! ✨

What an incredible visit to Oti and Marius Dance Studio today! 🤩

We had a fantastic chat about their desire to support and get involved in next year's Dance Energy event. Dance Energy provides a vital platform for young people to showcase talent and express themselves through all forms of dance.

Oti and Marius, your support is an honour and a huge inspiration to our youth. Thank you! 🙏
(We might also be slightly starstruck after seeing those amazing Strictly Come Dancing glitter balls! 🏆)

Looking forward to this exciting partnership!
