The Favela Foundation

The Favela Foundation was founded in 2017 through the trustees shared experience of working in Brazil's favelas.

We were inspired by the residents of these vibrant communities to continue working back in the UK and support local, grassroots projects. The Favela Foundation is a Non-Profit Organisation aiming to provide education for all in some of Brazil's poorest areas. We work alongside and local projects in Brazil to support them in giving new opportunities so those most in need, achieving real results and change along the way.

SONHO QUE SE SONHA SÓ E SÓ UM SONHO. SONHO QUE SE SONHA JUNTO SE TORNA REALIDADE!!! GRATIDÃO SEMPRE!!!

This week, and her team took the keys to their new community centre after more than 20 years holding courses and community events in her family home, in a dangerous area of Cidade de Deus (City of God favela in Rio de Janeiro). Now, their future is secured, and SECURE, to make dreams come true ✨

Esta semana, e sua equipe receberam as chaves do seu novo centro comunitário, após mais de 20 anos realizando cursos e eventos comunitários na casa da família dela, em uma área perigosa da Cidade de Deus (favela da Cidade de Deus, no Rio de Janeiro). Agora, o futuro deles está garantido, e SEGURO, para realizar seus sonhos.
