The fast starts on Sunday 20th September 2026 at 18:49 (BST)
The fast Ends on Monday 21st September 2026 at 19:48 (BST)

The times are quoted according to British Summer Time daylight.
This is the day we fast for 25 hours to atone for all of what we have been in the wrong for during the year and plead to have the slate wiped clean in the Divine's eyes so The Almighty grants a new page to restart for all of us in the book of life.

May the Sovereign Master of Heaven and Earth accept our prayers and supplications; L-rd Almighty inscribe each & everyone of us along with all our family members in the Book of Life. We praise you and your giving hand to ordain a year of auspicious sentiments which would include calmness & peace plus abundant Divine provisions for all humankind.

Q: - Why do we refer to: On Rosh Hashanah it is inscribed, and on Yom Kippur it is sealed ?
A: - This famous line comes from the ancient prayer called Unetaneh Tokef, which is recited during the Musaf service on the High Holy Days.
The Meaning of the Prayer : It describes that the Creator the Almighty instigates a book of records of all that has passed and duly the fates of all human beings are inscribed. At this point it is asking a profound probe into who continues on the journey at this sphere & whose journey is going to be terminated, additionally what tests or blessings the year ahead will entail for each individual’s journey; Poignantly it emphasises on a fundamental Three pillars in Judaism to seek a sweet decree from the Almighty; These being: Teshuvah ( Repentance ), Tefilah ( Prayers ) & Tzedakah ( Charity ) .

Rosh Hashanah 2026
Start of the Hebrew Year of 5787

Celebrations commences on the evening of Friday, 11th of September 2026.
The Festival concludes on the Evening of Sunday , 13th of September 2026.

Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year, and literally converted from the hebrew, it means “head of the year,” as Rosh means head and Hashanah means the year. It is the birthday of Adam & Eve plus the creation of this sphere, reflecting a New Season, emphasising on introspection & joy the changes bring. Rosh Hashanah marks the start of a pinnacle & most auspicious phase of the year out of all the rest of the celebratory occasions in the year.

This festival is celebrated with the blasting of the Shofar, festive meals, reciting blessings over fresh fruits foods such as apples, dates and pomegranate,followed by tashlich inthe afternoon once all prayer services have concluded in synagogues.

It also commemorates the creation of the planet and symbolises a juncture for renewal & a fresh start. These ideas are reflected in the special additions to the synagogue prayers, the ritual of Tashlich & the introduction of new season's fruits as part of the festive meals.

Festival starts at sundown on Thursday, 21st of May 2026.
Celebrations conclude at nightfall on Friday, 22nd of May 2026.

This is a Hebrew Celebration; One of the biblically commemorated festivals being one of the pilgrimage Holidays. It falls on the 6th day of Sivan ( Hebrew Calendar Month ) ; on the Gregorian Calendar it may coencide during 15th of May to 14th of June.

Shavuot itself is translated from henrew to 'weeks' as this Festival marks the End of Omer days ( being 49 days from the 2nd day of Pesach ) . It's date is directly linked with Pesach; Our holy Book of Torah signifys these seven-weeks for Counting the Omer. This counting of days and weeks is understood to express anticipation and desire for the giving of the Torah.
On Pesach, the nataion were freed from misrayim as slaves & on Shavuot, nation received the Torah and became a committed one nation to serve the Lord Almighty.

RITUALS & COMMON PRACTICES EXERCISED:

Dairy Feasts , All-Night Torah Study, Reading the Ten Commandments & Keeping Beit Hamedrash in Floral Decorations.

the "New Year for Trees"
The holiday commences on the evening of Sun 1st of Feb 2026.
The Celebrations concludes on the evening of Mon 2nd Feb 2026.
Tu-Bi shevat or Tubishvat is a Hebrew / Jewish celebratory occasion which annually falls on the 15th day of the Hebrew Month of Shevat, It also is referred to as Rosh HaShanah La'Ilanot which translates as New Year for Trees.
Jewish Customs & Rituals for this occasion dictate reciting blessings for the fruits from the seven species that Land of Milk & Honey has flourished there through the Hebrew ages, These being: Wheat, Barley, Grapes, Figs, Pomegranates, Olives, and Dates.
