Our activities focus on horticulture, conservation, creative work, art & craft and training.

Sydenham Garden: a well-being hub providing gardening, nature conservation and creative opportunities for local residents suffering from mental and phyiscal ill-health The garden is for the whole community, but is particularly used by people referred to us by local health professionals, who are experiencing significant mental and physical ill-health. We run a variety of therapeutic gardening sessi

ons through the week for referred clients or 'co-workers'. Each co-worker sets their aims and objectives with our experienced staff and volunteer team, and takes on tasks each week that help them to engage with the people and the land. Work includes sowing, preparation, digging, ground clearance, and harvesting. Some of our produce is cooked and shared by our co-workers, and some of it is processed or preserved and sold to local people at our events. Although the community garden is very much the focal point of our activities and services today, our first project activities actually started with Arts & Craft sessions at Sydenham Green Health Centre

Right now, every £1 you plant with us becomes £4 towards reaching more people facing mental health challenges and dementia.

Thanks to match funding from the Mortgage Advice Bureau Foundation they'll add £3 for every £1 donated - up to £4,000. We need to raise £1,250 in the next 5 weeks to unlock the full £5,000.

Your £10 becomes £40. Your £25 becomes £100. Every seed you plant with us grows four times bigger.

🌟🌲🍰☕🎁🪴Very excited to welcome everyone back to the garden for what promises to be an extra excellent Winter Fair. A celebration for our community, a brilliant opportunity to come and buy gifts, to enjoy exploring our garden and nature reserve and to raise very much needed funds for our groups. Last year's fair was cancelled due to wild weather so let's hope for a glorious day. 🪴☕🌲🍰🎁🌟
