Our young heroes from the Saturday School for Heroism recently visited Sheila, an elderly neighbour who lives alone, to brighten her day.

Together, they cleaned her house, tidied up the garden, organised the kitchen, and even baked a cake for her. Sheila's joy was priceless, and her amazement at the kindness of these children reminds us of the power of community.

A huge thank you to our volunteers and trustees who made this possible, especially Kingsley Obaseki for putting the video together, Phoebe Nightingale for capturing the moments, and Preetee Ramgoolam for organising.

Meet Sheila, a lovely lady in her late 80s, who lives alone and has been finding it tough to keep up with her house and garden. That's when our young heroes stepped in!

They pruned the trees, pulled weeds, and transformed her garden into a serene space. Inside the house, they cleaned the kitchen, tidied the living room, and rearranged things to create a comfortable and relaxing environment for Sheila.

This is what we call true heroism—making a real difference in our neighbourhood by supporting those who need it most. Thank you to all our young heroes for your hard work and compassion. You’re not only learning about heroism, you’re living it!
