2 hours a week is the over used running joke to attract new volunteers
We all know that’s not the reality of life as a scout volunteer
It’s ultimately not about how long you spend but more about WHY you spend time in scouting
Those who figure it out become long serving leaders and see the benefits of their contributions
We kicked off autumn term with the seasonal planning session at HQ and for the record; it was 4 hours and so proving the 2 hours a week is simply a tongue firmly in cheek phrase that needs further clarity to newcomers
All in the pursuit of making this world a little better than we found it
