At the recently concluded training at Oasis Academy Enfield, one story stayed with me.
A mentee walked in on day one quiet, observant, and unsure of where they truly fit. Like many young people, they had potential—but lacked clarity, structure, and the confidence to own their voice.
Through the sessions, something shifted.
With the guidance of a dedicated mentor, they began to ask better questions. Not just “What can I do?” but “What am I best positioned to do right now?” That shift alone changed everything.
By the end of the program, this same mentee was leading a group discussion, presenting ideas with clarity, and—most importantly—taking ownership of their next steps. They left not just with knowledge, but with direction.
This is why mentorship matters.
It’s not just about access to information. It’s about alignment, exposure, and the courage to step forward when it counts.
Real growth doesn’t always look loud—but it’s always evident.
