Mill Hill Preservation Society

Mill Hill Preservation Society MHPS try to make change worthwhile and to encourage all those involved in the process to hold a similar view.

The surviving charm of Mill Hill in modern times is in part due to the activities of the MHPS working in the locality since 1949. We cover NW7: Mill Hill Ward and Hale Ward together, more or less, comprise NW7. This area is defined by Scratchwood Service Station (on the M1) in the north down to Copthall in the south, with The Hale as the eastern edge and to Darlands in the west. As a member you ca

n attend the AGM in Spring and the Winter meeting; you will receive an AGM report, and 3 newsletters a year; you can join 3 guided walks a year in the locality; you can test your knowledge at our quiz and attend other sundry events. If you wish to be more involved you could become a Road Steward, or (if you have special skills) an adviser to the Committee, a Committee Member or even a Trustee.

MHPS is doing one of its twice yearly pond clearances at Angel Pond at the top of Milespit Hill this Sunday morning 24th August. Do give us a 👋 or say "Hi" if you're passing...

We are aiming to keep the invasive Crassula helmsii w**d under control. The water level is currently low so this is a 'dry' cleanup. The w**d will be placed at the edge of the pond until Monday in order that the pond crawlies can escape and the invasive w**d will then be collected by a specialist company, as before, so it is disposed of responsibly.
