www.nhsf.org.uk NHSF is each one of those students who is touched by the activities of that Hindu society, be it through Sports, Arts, Sanskaar or Sewa.

Representing over 10,000 Hindu students, NHSF (UK) is the largest Hindu movement for students outside of Bharat, and aspires to build the foundations for a strong and vibrant Hindu community by establishing a youth-orientated proactive agenda. Hindu societies aim to create a space for students to explore and engage with their Hindu identity, and provide a platform for spiritual wellbeing.

🌞🌑 Surya Grahan 🌑🌞

Last week, Surya Grahan marked a moment when the Sun was veiled by the Moon — a celestial event connected within Hindu tradition to the story of Rahu, Ketu and the Samudra Manthan.

Our scriptures encourage us to recognise this as a period of spiritual significance: a time for restraint, reflection and quiet devotion. 🪷

In the rush of everyday life, Surya Grahan offers us a simple reminder: sometimes there is meaning in pausing, turning inward and reconnecting with our Dharma.

Because sometimes, even the cosmos reminds us to slow down and look up. ✨

🐍 Naag Panchami 🐍

On Naag Panchami, Hindus across Bharat honour the Naag Devatas, recognising their sacred place within our scriptures, traditions and the natural world. 🙏🏼

From the opening of the Nagchandreshwar Temple in Ujjain to traditional celebrations across Varanasi, Maharashtra, Karnataka and beyond, the utsav is observed in many unique ways across Bharat.

May the blessings of the Naag Devatas bring protection, peace and wellbeing to all. ✨

Into the Hinduverse 🌍 | Odisha 🛕

Welcome back to Into the Hinduverse, our series exploring Hindu celebrations and traditions from different regions.

Jagannātha Rath Yatra is one of the largest Utsavs in Hindu Dharma, celebrated most prominently in Puri, Odisha.

Each year, millions of bhaktas gather to take darśana of Bhagavān Jagannātha and take part in the sacred Yatra through seva, kirtan, and bhakti.

From the construction of the Rathas to the tradition of Chhera Pahanra, every aspect of the Yatra reflects humility, devotion, and togetherness.
