We love the energy of our African Dance classes 🔥 Every Thursday, Nii Boye facilitates a dynamic class where participants can learn traditional West African dances, and engage with others in a fun and safe space.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Youth Dance Company with our partner schools: Grinling Gibbons, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Lewisham and St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Southwark.

The company aims to support and develop young people’s creative and cultural engagement. The programme will enrich the lives of local young people by exploring themes of identity and culture while championing African and Caribbean dance forms and exploring creative ways of connecting and fusing other dance styles.

IRIE! is passionate about equipping young people to deal with social isolation and stress through dance, drumming and percussion. We have witnessed the pleasure and satisfaction young people gain from engaging creatively individually and as part of a team. The youth dance company will provide a platform to help local young people grow their self-esteem and confidence whilst enhancing their cultural awareness.
