Last week we hosted our latest Workforce Forum as part of our Inclusive Player Pathway project, funded by a QC member who shares our commitment to making tennis accessible for people with disabilities.

This session focused on Dementia Friendly Tennis, bringing together coaches and volunteers from across the area for an afternoon of learning, discussion and connection. Participants had the chance to hear from specialists with real, hands‑on experience in delivering dementia‑inclusive sessions, gaining practical insights they can take back to their own venues.

It was inspiring to see how many attendees left feeling motivated to reflect on their current practice, consider new approaches, and think creatively about how they, and their organisations, can make their tennis environments more welcoming for people living with dementia. The conversations in the room highlighted just how much passion there is within our local workforce to ensure everyone feels supported and able to enjoy our sport.

A huge thank you to our brilliant speakers for sharing their expertise, and to all the coaches and volunteers who joined us, and to for hosting.

We’ve been delighted to welcome local schools to The Queen’s Club for three squash and real tennis outreach days - a rare and truly special opportunity for students to try sports they would almost never encounter in a school setting. By opening the doors to these historic, technical, and often inaccessible sports, we’re helping to remove the opportunity barrier that has traditionally stood in the way for many young people.

Our aim is simple: to make these sports feel welcoming, inclusive, and within reach for every student who steps onto the court. Seeing pupils experience squash and real tennis for the first time, supported by expert coaching and world‑class facilities, has been incredibly rewarding. The enthusiasm, confidence, and positive feedback we’ve received show exactly why programmes like this matter.

With another outreach day scheduled for next week, we’re excited to continue giving schools access to experiences they wouldn’t otherwise have. A huge thank you to The Queen’s Club for generously providing their facilities and to their brilliant coaching team for making these sessions so impactful and unforgettable.

Last Sunday was the Rally Girls Festival for some of the girls on our The Queen’s Club Foundation community programme🎾

We all know the transition between primary and secondary school can be a challenging one in the context of girls staying involved in and feeling they belong in sport and this event was intended to build confidence and inspire through tennis some of the girls at this age.

We invited 2 star female coaches to lead the session which took place in the Junior Centre at The Queen’s Club.

India Ampaw and Victoria Lapthorne delivered the fantastic fun and confidence building on-court activity. The girls then enjoyed an off-court session on managing emotions and confidence building during their tennis journeys. At the close all the girls received a goodie bag to take home.

The word of the evening, encompassing how many of the girls felt playing tennis, was “NERVOUSITED” which some of the girls decided expressed that mixture of feeling a bit worried they might not do their best but loving being out on court and giving it a go.

It was brilliant hearing from Indy and Vic about strategies for managing their emotions on court and great to see how much the girls enjoyed their wise words and their upbeat coaching style.

The day was also about inspiring the female coaching workforce and we were very grateful to have a number of female volunteers, coaches and the support of LTA independent Councillor Judith Loffhagen at the event. Judith, (also mum to British tennis player George Loffhagen) was able to share with the girls a little of the emotions mums can feel when their kids are playing tennis and how she stays focussed and calm which the girls also listened to intently.

And the best feedback of all? “Can we do more sessions like this?” Absolutely. And we can’t wait. 💫

Yesterday, we were pleased to attend Onside Law’s Working in Sports Careers Day at the Queen’s Club. In partnership with Fit for Life Youth, we brought along a group of young men with aspirations to build careers within the sports industry.

Throughout the day, participants heard from a range of industry professionals and gained valuable guidance on CV development, interview skills, and pathways into sports-related roles. The sessions provided meaningful insight and left a strong impression on everyone involved.

Over lunch, our Head of Foundation, Kate, led a guided tour of the Club for all 90 attendees, sharing the history of Queen’s and highlighting the five sports hosted on site.

We are proud to support initiatives that equip young people with the knowledge, confidence, and inspiration to pursue future opportunities in sport.

We’re thrilled to announce that India Ampaw will be leading our QCF Rally Girls Festival this Sunday at — a special confidence‑building day for some of the girls on our programme! 🎾💫

India is a former Division I tennis player and performance coach with a powerful passion for supporting the next generation of girls in sport. Having progressed through the tennis pathway herself (starting at just 3 years old!), she brings firsthand experience of how positive role models and inclusive spaces can shape a young athlete’s journey.

At the festival, India will be bringing her energy, encouragement and lived experience to help inspire the girls on our programme — building confidence both on and off the court. 💪🏽🌟

We can’t wait for an empowering day led by such an inspiring coach! 🎾
