Kaleidoscope Trust

Kaleidoscope Trust Kaleidoscope Trust is a UK-based international charity fighting for a future where LGBTI+ people everywhere can live free, safe and equal lives.

Established in 2011, Kaleidoscope Trust is a UK-based international charity fighting for a future where LGBTI+ people everywhere can live free, safe and equal lives. Around the world, the human rights and identities of LGBTI+ people are under attack. New discriminatory laws and policies are being proposed every week and a third of all countries still criminalise consensual same-sex relationships.

Kaleidoscope Trust is building a global movement to create a world where LGBTI+ people everywhere can live free, safe and equal lives. We work with political leaders in the UK and beyond to ensure global LGBTI+ issues are a priority. We ensure that activists have the resources, skills and training they need to learn from one another in order to create an enabling environment and change hearts and minds. And we bring together grassroots organisations with those in power to create that change.

Our campaign was at the heart of our Parliamentary Pride Reception this week.

We were proud to bring together friends and partners of Kaleidoscope Trust at Westminster to reflect on the state of the global LGBTI+ movement.

We heard from our CEO, Alex Farrow, and Minister Chris Elmore, who reflected on the challenges facing our movement and the importance of choosing the frontline.

We also heard from our Research and Impact Manager, Lily, who reminded us that:

“Change never comes from people who make themselves small enough to be ignored.”

That’s why we choose to step forward strategically, collectively and with a clear sense of purpose.

Pride Reception 2026 🏳️‍🌈

Last week, we welcomed supporters, partners, activists and allies to our 2026 Pride Reception in London.

We came together to celebrate Pride Month, stand alongside LGBTI+ communities around the world, and recommit to building a future that is free, safe and equal for everyone.

A huge thank you to Google for hosting us, to GSK/ ViiV Healthcare for their support, and to Myndstate for an incredible performance that helped make the evening so special.

Thank you, too, to everyone who joined us, donated to our raffle and helped raise vital funds for our work supporting LGBTI+ activists and communities around the world.

At a time when progress cannot be taken for granted, alongside LGBTI+ activists and communities around the world.

This week, our CEO Alex Farrow was in Paris with Pride 7, a G7 engagement group bringing together LGBTI+ civil society organisations from around the world.

Alex joined fellow Pride7 representatives at the Élysée Palace to meet with Emmanuel Macron and discuss the role of LGBTI+ rights within the broader international agenda.

We are calling on G7 leaders to defend human rights, support civil society, protect the international aid system, and ensure LGBTQI+ rights remain firmly on the global agenda.

We're proud to contribute to these conversations and to work alongside partners advocating for equality, dignity and inclusion worldwide.

DOUBLE THE IMPACT FOR GLOBAL LGBTI+ RIGHTS 🌍

From 11 June to 15 July, every donation to Kaleidoscope Trust will be doubled.

That means twice the support for LGBTI+ activists, organisations, and movements working to advance equality, dignity, and freedom around the world.

This Pride, your generosity can go twice as far.

Thank you to Steve Race MP for highlighting the realities facing LGBTI+ communities around the world in the House of Commons last week, including the impact of anti-LGBTI+ legislation in Ghana.

We’d also like to acknowledge his leadership in coordinating the cross-party letter calling for £21 million in funding to support efforts to defend and advance LGBTI+ rights globally.

Thank you, Steve, for recognising the importance of this work and for highlighting Kaleidoscope Trust’s efforts to support LGBTI+ communities worldwide.

HUMANITARIAN AID IS A LIFELINE.

For many LGBTI+ communities around the world, it is what makes safety, dignity, and support possible.

Kaleidoscope Trust works alongside partners delivering this vital support every day. Strengthening movements, resourcing organisations, and standing with communities under pressure.

But these lifelines need sustained support.

Next week, we launch something that will help your support go even further.

Stay tuned!

World Environment Day 🌍

On this Environment Day, we pause to reflect on the growing humanitarian crisis driven by climate change.

LGBTI+ communities are at higher risk of improper care and discrimination when it comes to climate change-related emergencies, health crises, housing insecurity and other structural inequalities.

We cannot ignore the signs any longer — climate justice must be inclusive.

The Global LGBTI+ Rights Commission needs your help! 🌍

Our latest report explores how the weaponisation of trans lives in populist discourse is not new, but our perspective is severely limited by a lack of data in the Global South.

The history of trans lives goes far beyond a Western narrative.

Help us build a more complete picture. Follow the link below and share your perspective.
