Meet our Erasmus+ UK last project group.
Youth workers and youth leaders from 7 countries: Italy, Romania, Greece, Croatia, Latvia and Bulgaria and United Kingdom came together for our training course within the project POP THE SOCIAL MEDIA BUBBLE' which took place from 15th – 22nd of September 2022 at the Academy Grosvenor Hall , a delightful residential education and activity centre, set in peaceful, countryside setting with majestic buildings and beautiful grounds in the town of Ashford, the county of Kent, England. The course aimed at fostering quality youth work through supporting accessible and innovative practices to encourage youth workers to understand the social media world and improve their capacity on digital youth work. We have explored the groundwork for extending and promoting the use of social media and other digital media tools in digital youth work for youth organisations on the recognition and promotion of non‐formal education, volunteerism and youth work in order to empower civil society. We looked at concepts as digital skill and digital competence background in youth-work practice, shared of practices and showcasing of realities in European youth work. We explored modern, innovative methods on non-formal education, debated on how to build healthy societies, hunting for pearls with a field trip to Canterbury museum town, teamwork on action planning for future projects and cooperation within Erasmus + programme.
