We are delighted to share the results of our wonderful collaboration with the “Kozak Mamay” Charity Foundation!

As part of the charity project “Supporting Young Athletes of Ukraine During the War,” we are proud to have financially supported the incredibly strong, talented, and motivated members of the KYIVPARASWIM TEAM from Kyiv

This time, the young swimmers received high-quality sports nutrition, which will aid their recovery during intense training sessions and help them prepare even more effectively for future victories.

We are truly glad to have been supporting the vital and inspiring initiatives of the “Kozak Mamay” Charity Foundation/ Благодійна організація "Благодійний фонд "Козак Мамай" for several years now, opening up new opportunities for children to grow and thrive.
We sincerely thank our partners at “Kozak Mamay”, Zhanna Lishchinska for organizing this process and for their meaningful mission. Together, we are investing in the future of Ukraine and helping the younger generation stay resilient despite all challenges!

For many years, we at Ukraine Charity have been proud to partner with the dedicated team at the TulSun Foundation to implement meaningful initiatives for orphaned children and children with special needs. Together, we are working to ensure that every child gets the support they deserve.

This time, our joint efforts will benefit 302 children with special needs living and studying in three specialised institutions in the Kyiv region. We are thrilled to see this project come to life and look forward to sharing more details soon about how this assistance is creating positive, lasting changes in their daily lives.

As part of this initiative, these institutions will receive modern rehabilitation, educational, and therapeutic equipment. This will help the children develop new skills, learn with greater confidence, and discover new opportunities every single day. 📚🧒🔋

We are sincerely grateful to the TulSun Foundation for their incredible dedication, hard work, and long-standing partnership. Having a trusted partner on the ground who remains deeply committed to children’s needs year after year allows us to make a real difference and create a brighter, more secure future for those who need it most.

Over the recent weeks, Russia has launched massive, continuous missile and drone strikes across Ukraine. Amidst this severe escalation of enemy attacks, the pressure on our emergency responders and medics has increased dramatically.

To meet this critical need, Ukraine Charity, in longstanding partnership with Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation and with the vital support of responsible UK businesses, has delivered a 4x4 medical vehicle to the «Donetsk-Luhansk» Mobile Rescue Center of Rapid Response of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (МРЦ ШР "Донецьк-Луганськ" ДСНС України ).

SES medics are currently operating under the constant threat of double-tap strikes, navigating through rubble and off-road conditions. This specialized vehicle is a literal lifesaver, allowing them to rapidly reach strike sites, assist, and safely evacuate wounded rescue crews, firefighters, and deminers.

We are deeply grateful to Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation for their reliable partnership. Together, we stand with those who risk their lives every day to save others.

Every year, Kyiv Day is celebrated on the last Sunday of May. In 2026, the celebration falls on 31 May.

As the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv is much more than a city. It is a symbol of history, resilience, innovation, and hope.

We’ve gathered some fascinating facts that every foreign visitor should know about Kyiv:

• Kyiv is pronounced “KEE-yiv”, not “Kee-ev” — a small but meaningful difference that reflects Ukraine’s language, identity, and culture.

• Kyiv is one of Europe’s oldest cities, with a history spanning more than 1,500 years. According to legend, it was founded in 482 AD by three brothers — Kyi, Shchek, and Khoryv — and their sister Lybid. Kyiv was already a major centre of Kyivan Rus’ when London was still a relatively small settlement.

• Kyiv Metro includes some of the deepest stations in the world. Arsenalna Station is the deepest metro station on Earth, reaching 105.5 metres (346 feet) below ground.

• The official symbol of Kyiv is the chestnut leaf and blossom. Every spring, the city is transformed by thousands of blooming chestnut trees lining its historic streets and boulevards.

• Kyiv is a spiritual centre of Eastern Europe and home to UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Saint Sophia Cathedral and Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. Its golden domes have shaped the city’s skyline for centuries.

• Beyond the world-famous Chicken Kyiv, the city’s most iconic dessert is Kyiv Cake (Kyivskyi Tort) — a legendary hazelnut-and-meringue confection that many visitors take home as a delicious souvenir.

Happy Kyiv Day! 💙💛

Incredible initiatives always start with a shared purpose. Last week, we had the pleasure of witnessing a fantastic group of students from Hills Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge turn their school’s Social Action Week into a meaningful mission for Ukraine.

This cause is deeply personal for the group, as one of their fellow students is Ukrainian. Wanting to stand out from typical fundraisers and create something unique, they decided to host a charity volleyball match — and last week, the game officially took place! The ultimate sign that they chose the right sport? The volleyball they played with was naturally blue and yellow! 🇺🇦

Over the course of an energetic 4-hour match, the students raised funds through play-to-enter fees and per-game sponsorships, proving how teamwork can bring a community together for a critical cause.

📈 Current Amount Raised: £305 (an amazing 152% of their original goal!)

Every pound raised goes directly to Ukraine Charity ю to provide vital relief and support to Ukrainian citizens whose lives have been disrupted by the war.

We are deeply moved by the empathy, resourcefulness, and solidarity of these young leaders. Thank you, Hills Road students, for standing with Ukraine!

📢 Missed the game? You can still team up with them!

Although the match successfully took place last week, the fundraising is not over yet. If you would like to support their incredible effort, you can still donate via the link in the comments 👇🏻

Every donation matters. Let’s help them push that total even higher!

It is incredibly rewarding to see that the vehicles and equipment sponsored by our community years ago continue to fulfill vital missions today. At Ukraine Charity, we focus on providing aid that stands the test of time - and fire.

A powerful example happened this month in Druzhkivka: an armoured evacuation van we delivered three years ago was struck by a Russian FPV drone. Two rescuers and a police officer were inside. The armour held, and everyone survived. As we were told from the front line: “The van is still operating and is actively saving lives.”

This is not the first vehicle provided through our ongoing partnerships that continues to serve as a lifeline. We are sincerely grateful to the DSNS (State Emergency Service) for their recognition, and we want to thank our reliable partners at for their tireless work, dedication, and continued partnership.

As Russia’s daily shelling continues to target civilians and rescuers alike, our mission remains unchanged. Thank you to everyone who contributes. Your support is quite literally the armour that takes the hit and saves lives.

April was a month of incredible support for Ukraine Charity. We want to share the stories of two amazing people who turned their marathon runs into meaningful fundraising efforts. Together, they have already raised £9,000 to help Ukraine.

Xristina Klymchuk and the Manchester Marathon

Xristina took part in the Manchester Marathon 2026, finishing in 4 hours and 19 minutes. For her, running became a way to refocus after major life changes. She ran in Manchester to support Ukraine Charity’s humanitarian work. Thanks to her dedication and personal story, she raised over £1,700, which is already helping people in Ukraine.

Antoine Pesenti and the London Marathon

Antoine completed his 15th London Marathon with an impressive time of 2 hours and 51 minutes. His fundraising has a clear goal: to raise money for three ambulances/evacuation vehicles for Ukraine.
These vehicles are urgently needed by medics and volunteers to evacuate injured people and deliver aid in difficult conditions.

His target is £12,000, and he has already raised over £7,200. You can still support Antoine by making a donation — you’ll find the link in the comments below.

Thank you to Antoine, Xristina, and everyone who donated and supported them throughout April. You are our “extra push” in this long journey.

We are incredibly proud, inspired, and grateful.
Today, we want to spotlight the amazing initiative of Xristina Klymchuk who is taking on the ultimate challenge — the Manchester Marathon this April 19th.
For Xristina, running began as a personal escape and a way to find focus after a major life change. But today, her journey has evolved into something much bigger than a finish line. It is a testament to resilience and solidarity.

«I wanted to prove to myself that I’m capable of more than I think,» says Xristina. «Training hasn’t been easy—it tested me mentally and physically. But as the 4th anniversary of the war approached, I decided to turn this challenge into something bigger than just me.»

With deep family connections and loved ones directly affected by the war, Xristina turned her miles into a mission. This purpose has been her «extra push» during those grueling training sessions when the distance felt impossible.

Thanks to her dedication and your incredible generosity, £1,433 has already been raised! Every pound goes directly toward supporting Ukraine Charity’s vital work.
We are honored that xristina chose to support our cause, turning her personal milestone into a lifeline for others.

Want to support xristina and help her reach her goal?

You can support her run using the link in the pinned comment below.

Let’s show her the strength of our community! Wishing Xristina «light legs» and steady breath for the Manchester Marathon. We are all rooting for you!
