Young Pleasance "Energy, charm and sheer luxury" [The Scotsman] "enviously talented" [Fringe Review]

Now 21, YP enjoyed another thrilling Edinburgh Festival Fringe with the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Curse of Cranholme Abbey, hot on the heels of the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Alice Unhinged in 2016, and the sell-out ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ smash hit show The Hampstead Murder Mystery in 2015. Young Pleasance were at the heart of the Pleasance 30th Celebrations in 2014 with links to three productions; , the Incognito/Pleasance co-produ

ction of Government Inspector and the Pleasance production of Civil Rogues, peppered with Young Pleasance alumni.

2013 saw a smash hit new production, 'Rites', devised with a dynamic and talented ensemble which was staged at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2013. YP enjoyed a dynamically successful 2012 including our first international tour to Salzburg were we created a site-specific performance project at the Schloss Leopoldskron for the inaugural New Year’s Eve Reinhardt ball. We also enjoyed another successful run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with a new play, 'The Death of Chatterton' written by Tim Norton & closed the year with a revival of the 2011 Edinburgh production of 'Teechers' at Pleasance Islington.

Our Story

Young Pleasance are excited to be performing an updated version of A Grave Situation, ten years on from the original production. This gloriously silly WW2 pastiche is dear to all our hearts and the new cast have fallen in love with the piece as much as the original team. Come and see us in Edinburgh

YP enjoyed another thrilling Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2018 with the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Red Shoes, hot on the heels of the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Curse of Cranholme Abbey in 2017 & Alice Unhinged in 2016, and the sell-out ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ smash hit show The Hampstead Murder Mystery in 2015.

2018 saw the intoxicating new version of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Red Shoes and a small group of alumni head off to Salzburg again to stage a promenade Commedia piece to mark the centenary of Max Rheinhardt at the Schloss Leopoldskron.
