About Fight for Peace

Fight for Peace is an international NGO whose mission is to realise the potential of young people in communities affected by crime and violence. Founded in 2000, in the Complexo da Maré favelas, Rio de Janeiro, today we are present in over 25 countries worldwide through Academies, Safer Communities Programmes and a community of local partners trained in our methodology - the Fight for Peace Alliance. To date, we have reached more than 250,000 young people in search of a fairer and more peaceful society.
