Always fun to look back at some of our past creations. This is a poem by Errol which he wrote when doing the Peace Education Programme in a UK prison. A few years later we turned it into this music and dance video filmed in Streatham near and in the Nomadic Community Gardens. Track by Luke Tunney, dance Shreeya Parulekar and Frank Wilson.

We have a NEW animation!! This has been in the works for some time, and is the creation of animator and artist Sondes Jelassi expe_rimentarte. It is a Chinese story, thought to originate from the Song Dynasty 1000 years ago, retold here by peace educator and author Prem Rawat. Big thanks to the crowdfunding support that made it possible:

It is heartening news to see that knife crime and murders are down in London and the rest of the Uk.
In fact, in 2025 London had the lowest homicide figure since 2014.
Teenage homicide, which hit record levels in 2021, has also dropped to the lowest level since 2012.
Of course that’s small comfort for victims and their families, but it does show that the efforts of so many people, organisations, communities etc. appear to be making a difference and moving things in the right direction.

Hearty congratulations to all our Peace Workshop graduates! It’s been a quite a journey over these past 10 weeks, getting to know the young people. Through themes of hope, choice, appreciation, self-awareness, inner strength and peace, many reflections and stories have been shared. There’s been laughter, creativity, wisdom, and even a bit of music and dance! We’ve learnt a lot and when we asked the teenagers what they learnt, this is just a few of their answers:

‘That peace comes naturally.’

‘We all have a purpose.’

‘The importance of life.’

‘A different way of looking at things.’

‘To protect my peace.’

‘All bad times come to an end.’

‘I’ve learnt that there’s more to peace than I thought.’

‘Inner strength.’

‘To be more balanced.’

‘To be kind.’

‘To look at the bigger picture.’

‘Everything you need to be happy and at peace you have in you, you just need to realise you’re stronger than you think.’

‘I have learned how to view hardships in life and overcome them.’

‘I realised I’m a lot more emotionally intelligent than I thought.’

‘That choice matters.’

‘Acting out isn’t always the best thing.’

‘I am stronger than I knew. I can enjoy life if I lead it in the right way. Thank you.’

Here's our team with some student artwork. This week we are covering the topics of LOVE & LIFE in our sessions for teenagers.
Did you know the ancient Greeks had 8 different forms of love?

Eros: Named after the god of love, this refers to passionate, sexual and romantic love

Philia: Is the love of friendship, affection, and loyalty.

Agape: This is a selfless, unconditional, and universal love, often described as the highest form of love.

Storge: This is the natural love and affection found between family members, such as parents and children.

Ludus: This describes a playful, flirtatious uncommitted love.

Pragma: This is a long-standing, enduring love that has matured over time and is based on commitment and practicality.

Philautia: This refers to the love of oneself, which can be healthy self-love or, in its negative form, narcissism and selfishness.

Mania: This describes an obsessive, possessive, form of love that can be unhealthy for both parties.
