Organ donation can affect every community, but some patients wait longer because finding the right match can be harder. Blood and tissue types are often more closely matched between people from similar ethnic backgrounds, which means donors from Black, Asian, Arab and other minority communities can make a life-changing difference.
By learning, asking questions, and speaking to our families, we can help our communities make informed choices and give more people hope.
