English: Blood donation is one of the most powerful ways to help others. Your donation may support someone in hospital, someone going through cancer treatment, someone having surgery, or a mother and baby in an emergency. Check if you can donate and speak to your family and community about the importance of giving blood.

Organ donation can affect every community, but some patients wait longer because finding the right match can be harder. Blood and tissue types are often more closely matched between people from similar ethnic backgrounds, which means donors from Black, Asian, Arab and other minority communities can make a life-changing difference.
By learning, asking questions, and speaking to our families, we can help our communities make informed choices and give more people hope.
