Myatt's Fields Park Myatt’s Fields Park is run by a charity called Myatt’s Fields Park Project in partnership with Lambeth Council. We’re proud of everything we’ve achieved.

A community-run Victorian park in south London, working to grow a green and healthy neighbourhood by providing a beautiful natural environment, along with events, food, wellbeing, education and enterprise projects that meet the needs of our diverse area. enterprise projects that meet the needs of our diverse area. We see the park as a true community hub, welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds. MFPP was started by a group of park users in 2000, becoming a charity in 2005. In the past MFPP worked alongside the council, managing additional activities, including the cafe and the greenhouse and events programme. In the wake of budget cuts Lambeth were looking at innovative ways of running green spaces and in September 2015 they handed over to MFPP. Since then we’ve collaborated with the council to develop Myatt’s Fields as a Pioneer Park, receiving support to become financially sustainable by hiring spaces for weddings and events, and working with businesses. In 2010 we raised £3 million to renovate the park, providing a new playground, children’s building and toilets. We've supported local groups and individuals through our greenhouse and community programmes exploring world food history. But we depend on YOUR ideas, time, skills, contacts and support to keep the park bursting with life! The Grade II-listed park includes:

- Little Cat Café
- Community Greenhouse
- Wildlife area
- Football pitch and tennis courts
- The Mulberry Preschool, which hosts free Stay & Play sessions on Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoons www.mulberrypreschool.com
- Playground with fantastic waterplay area
- Spaces for hire for weddings and other private events (incl. Victorian bandstand and roundhouse, children's centre)

Pack your picnic blankets and bring the whole family for an afternoon of joy, connection, and fantastic entertainment. We are thrilled to welcome the incredible drag queen Orla, who will be bringing the laughs with a family-friendly comedy and singing performance! 🎤👑

You’ll also be able to connect with amazing local community groups, with stalls from Lambeth Links and the Brixton Umbrella Circle.

📢 Lambeth Waterplay Update 📢

Please note that due to damage to the tarmac, Lambeth has not been able to turn the waterplay system on just yet.

Safety is the top priority, so the system will remain off until the tarmac is fully replaced. Lambeth is working to get this sorted as quickly as possible!

🌱 Let's care for our neighborhood together!

On Sunday, June 7, we are teaming up with a fantastic youth-led initiative to look after our local spaces, covering Central Brixton, Loughborough Estate, Angell Town, Moorlands Estate, Lothian Estate, and Myatt's Fields.

If you want to join the Myatt's Fields Park team, we will be gathering right by the bandstand at 12:30 PM to kick things off.

It is a wonderful, simple way to meet neighbors and help keep our green spaces beautiful. Supplies are provided, so just bring yourself!

Join us for our annual Free Tree Walk at Myatt's Fields Park, led by our longstanding volunteer, John Stoker!

This is a chill, relaxed way to learn about all the incredible trees in our canopy, spot some local nature, and enjoy a breath of fresh air. Whether you're a self-proclaimed tree nerd or just looking for a fun outdoor hangout with the community, everyone is welcome.

Just bring your curiosity and your comfiest shoes! 👟🍃
