Thank you for all the support at our recent community fete fundraiser. We raised £300!⁠

These funds help us to continue providing a supportive, caring space here at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre.⁠

We are looking for a Trustee with in-depth knowledge of property management to join our team. 🌈 ⁠

Title: Trustee (Facilities and Property Management)⁠
Location: Remote and at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre⁠
⁠
As a trustee, you’ll share collective responsibility with the rest of the board to ensure the Centre has a clear vision, mission, and strategic direction, and stays focused on achieving these.⁠
⁠
Facilities and Property Management-specific responsibilities include:⁠
⁠
+ Provide strategic oversight of compliance⁠
⁠
+ Strengthen Board-level governance⁠
⁠
+ Advise on operational and environmental risks⁠
⁠
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in managing community-facing environments, such as a Facilities Manager or similar operational role. They will have a proven ability to manage maintenance operations, ensure health and safety compliance, optimise facilities performance, and navigate efficient property and tenant partnerships.⁠

We're looking for a barber to host a pop-up service at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre every other Friday from 1:30-7:30pm 💇💈⁠
⁠
Sadly, Titan Trims, who offered reduced-cost and free haircuts in the Centre over the past 18 months has had to pause his service for the time being. ⁠
⁠
We know this has been an important regular service for the community and we'd like to continue hosting a pop-up barber in our space.⁠
⁠
🌈 What we’re looking for ⁠
We’re keen to hear from LGBTQ+ barbers who: ⁠
⁠
+ Can provide a pop-up service every two weeks on a Friday from 1:30-7:30⁠pm⁠
+ Have experience providing welcoming, inclusive, gender-affirming haircuts for LGBTQ+ communities. ⁠
+ Are confident cutting all hair types and textures ⁠
+ Are happy to run the service as a walk-in session (we don’t provide a booking system)⁠
⁠
🌈 What we can offer⁠
⁠
+ The pop-up takes place in our Quiet Room, providing a private and welcoming space for appointments. ⁠
⁠
+ If you’re able to offer reduced-cost and free haircuts to the community, we’re happy to waive the Quiet Room hire fee, continuing the arrangement we’ve had with Titan Trims.⁠
⁠
If you’re unable to offer free haircuts, we’d still love to hear from you, and can discuss what might be possible. ⁠
⁠
