The Foundation operates worldwide and is headquartered in the UK.

Al-Khoei Foundation also known as Al-Khoei Benevolent Foundation is an international charity founded by His Late Eminence Grand Ayatullah Sayed Abulqasim Al-Khoei. Late Grand Ayatullah Al-Khoei was the spiritual leader of much of the Shi'a-Muslim world until his demise in 1992. Al-Khoei Foundation was founded in 1989 and guided by the late Grand Ayatullah to look after the welfare and cater for the needs of the Muslim communities, and Shi'a-Muslims in specific, around the globe. Al-Khoei Foundation is a registered charity which runs Islamic centres, schools and universities, lobbies governments to protect the rights of the Muslim communities and acts as an advisor with regards to religious matters, publishes books and magazines, organises various educational and spiritual programmes for the communities and the youth, sponsors and takes part in both inter-faith and intra-faith conferences and caters for the religious and spiritual needs of the Muslim and non-Muslim prisoners in different countries. The Foundation is also the only Shi'a-Muslim organisation that holds a General Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) at the UN. The Foundations is headquartered in London, UK, but also holds branches in the US, Canada, France, Pakistan, India, Thailand, Iraq and Iran.

Religious Literacy Day on Islam – A Shia Perspective

يوم تعريفي بالثقافة الدينية والإسلام من المنظور الشيعي

في إطار برامجها للتواصل المجتمعي، تنظّم مؤسسة الإمام الخوئي الخيرية يوماً تعريفياً بالإسلام من المنظور الشيعي، موجّهاً إلى موظفي القطاع الحكومي، والمدرسين والأكاديميين، وغيرهم من المهتمين بالشأن الديني والثقافي.

سيقدّم الدكتور كريس هوير مقدمة شاملة وميسّرة عن الإسلام الشيعي، وسوف يدير نقاشاً حول العقيدة، والقيادة الدينية، والتوجيه الديني المعاصر، وتجربة المجتمعات الشيعية في الوقت الحاضر.

يتضمن البرنامج أيضاً:
• جولة تعريفية في المركز الإسلامي
• حواراً قصيراً مع المرشد الديني لمركز الإمام الخوئي الإسلامي
• جلسة مفتوحة للأسئلة والأجوبة والنقاش
• مناقشة القضايا المعاصرة التي تؤثر في المجتمعات الشيعية، بما في ذلك تأثير الأحداث الدولية والخطاب العام على المجتمعات الشيعية المقيمة في بريطانيا

As part of its outreach programmes, the Al-Khoei Foundation is pleased to present Religious Literacy Day exploring Islam from a Shia perspective, designed especially for civil servants, teachers and other professionals.

The day will be led by Dr Chris Hewer, who will provide an accessible introduction to Shia Islam and facilitate discussion on theology, leadership, contemporary religious guidance and the lived experience of Shia communities today.

The programme will also include:
* A guided tour of the Islamic Centre
* A short conversation with the Imam of the Imam Khoei Islamic Centre
* Open Q&A and discussion
* Exploration of contemporary issues affecting Shia communities, including how international events and public narratives can impact Shia diaspora communities in Britain

مؤسسة الإمام الخوئي الخيرية تنعى المرجع الديني الكبير سماحة آية الله العظمى السيد موسى الشبيري الزنجاني (قده)

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(إذا مات الفقيه المؤمن ثلم في الإسلام ثلمة لا يسدّها شيء)

ببالغ الحزن والأسى تنعى مؤسسة الإمام الخوئي الخيرية عالما جليلا وفقيها مبرزا من فقهاء مدرسة أهل البيت (عليهم السلام) المرجع الديني الكبير سماحة آية الله العظمى السيد موسى الشبيري الزنجاني (قدس سره الشريف)، الذي لبّى نداء ربه بعد عمر حافل بالعطاء العلمي وخدمة الدين الحنيف.

لقد كان الفقيد الراحل من أعلام الحوزة العلمية الذين أفنوا حياتهم في طلب العلم وتعليمه والتدريس والتربية وخدمة مدرسة أهل البيت (عليهم السلام). وقد عُرف بعلمه الراسخ ودقته في التحقيق وتقواه وورعه ومكانته الرفيعة.

وإن رحيل هذه الشخصية العلمية البارزة يمثّل خسارة كبيرة للحوزات العلمية، فقد ترك وراءه إرثاً علمياً وتربوياً ثميناً وسيرة حافلة بخدمة الشريعة وعلوم أهل البيت (عليهم السلام).

وبهذه المناسبة الأليمة تتقدم مؤسسة الإمام الخوئي الخيرية بأحر التعازي وأصدق المواساة إلى مقام صاحب العصر والزمان (عجل الله تعالى فرجه الشريف) وإلى المرجعية الدينية العليا في النجف الأشرف والحوزات العلمية وإلى أسرة الفقيد الكريمة وتلامذته ومحبيه، سائلين المولى عز وجل أن يتغمده بواسع رحمته ورضوانه وأن يحشره مع محمد وآله الطاهرين (صلوات الله وسلامه عليهم أجمعين)، وأن يلهم ذويه ومحبيه الصبر والسلوان.

We cordially invite you to the anniversary of the demise of Imam Al-Khoei and martyrdom of his sons and son-in-law held on Saturday 25th July 2026 at 7pm at the Imam Khoei Islamic Centre.

The programme will include talks in the English and Arabic languages and a lecture by Ayatollah Sayyid Muneer Al-Khabbaz from the holy city of Najaf.
