We had a wonderful day at Osterley Park at our community picnic last week, bringing together people we support, families, carers and colleagues from Hounslow, Richmond, Wandsworth and Hillingdon.

There was lovely food, time to catch up in the shade, and plenty of fun with football, rounders and tug of war.

It was also the perfect time to launch our charity walk, which will be in Windsor in April 2027, raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of Saul Isaac, who Certitude supported, and all the loved ones and family members who those in our community have lost to cancer.

The idea for the charity walk first came up because people wanted to contribute to their communities and do something positive for others – to give back! Many in our community knew Saul, and have been touched by cancer in other ways, which is why we chose to walk for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Many people signed up to take part, and those taking part will be able to choose the distance that feels right for them - whether that is 10K, 5K, 2K or less. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make our picnic so lovely, and for showing your support for something so meaningful.

Duane, AKA Mr Amazing, lit up the Orangery in Norwich recently with a brilliant performance alongside the MK Ensemble and Luke Saunders.

He also joined musicians from Musical Keys for an improvised jam, a fantastic moment that showed his talent, creativity and growing confidence.

Huge thanks to the Certitude team at The Gate for supporting Duane to keep sharing his music and performing in exciting new spaces.

🌱 Growing more than vegetables 🌱

Thanks to the donations to our Garden to Plate programme, funding has helped people we support in Brighton and Hove transform their outdoor space into a thriving garden filled with fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers. 🍓🥒🌻

Next steps are, enjoying some homemade rhubarb crumble from the fruits of their labour!

For the past three years, our Stepping Up community football programme in Hillingdon has been bringing people together, building confidence, creating friendships and helping people feel part of something special.

This summer, we're proud to have Log my Care supporting the programme as sponsors. To celebrate the partnership, we worked together on a short documentary that captures the difference Stepping Up is making in people's lives.

While Log my Care is also the provider of our new care management system, their support goes beyond technology. Their sponsorship reflects a shared commitment to helping people connect with their communities, build relationships and live the lives they want.

At Log my Care, we want to stand side by side with the people deliv...

Disability Pride isn't something we celebrate for just one month. It's something we champion all year round.

We believe it's important to continually highlight the incredible work being done across our communities and to share stories and experiences that help create a more inclusive world for everyone.

This month, we've shared stories from colleagues and people we support as part of Disability Pride 2026. While we could talk at length about the impact of our support and why it matters, Lebake says it best when talking about the impact this has on her life:

“Music is my advocate and singing is my way of letting my emotions out" – Lebake, an artist supported at Certitude’s Creative Studio - The Gate.

These images are from Lebake's recent performance at Café OTO, who regularly partners with us to create opportunities for our artists.
