Today, the Crime and Policing Bill has its second reading in the House of Lords.

We, alongside survivors and the VAWG sector, are calling for the introduction of a statutory definition for Honour Based Abuse, Multi-agency statutory guidance on Honour Based Abuse, and to make "honour" an aggravating feature in criminal sentencing.

On the 5th July, we held the first in a series of fundraisers for The Sharan Project at The Punjab Restaurant, Covent Garden, London

We were delighted to be joined by so many incredible supporters who heard about our work and the extent to which we go to support our clients. This was more than a fundraiser, it allowed for meaningful conversations and a collective movement for change and we are truly humbled by all the offers of support/donations
Thank you to our wonderful guests and to Sunny and Shay Mizan Sukki Singapora Punjab Restaurant

We welcomed the Labour Government’s commitment to half Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) in a generation, but we continue to wait in anticipation as to what this would mean for by and for specialist VAWG services such as ours.

Like so many charities, we rely on a range of income streams to include Trust funds and Government grants, however delays in Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) budget has created a perfect storm.

Please donate.

Many charities like ours are facing financial pressures due to rising costs, increased demand for services, and a decline in donations.

Please donate.

We can't do it without you.

Without immediate financial support, we may have to make difficult decisions that could impact the lives of those who depend on us. But with your help, we can continue to support vulnerable women in need.

Your donation today will:

● Allow us to keep our information line open and managed five days a week
● Continue to support women affected by abuse
● Provide access to employability opportunities
● Work with employers to create inclusive workplaces
● Pilot programmes and schemes to ensure women can lead an independent life
● Ensure job security for our staff

It all counts
Whether you can give £10, £50, £100, or more, every contribution makes a difference. Your support is not just about money - t's about hope, compassion, and a shared commitment to making our community a better place.
