Last month at our Bexley event we caught up with Trieste, who came along to our session for some reusable nappy advice. While she was there, she also picked up another nappy for her collection from The Washable Nappy Company pop-up shop.

Trieste started using reusable nappies part-time before making the switch full-time. She used her £50 reusable nappy voucher to buy night nappies.

“I was sceptical at first, but we were shocked by how easy reusable nappies were. We started part-time and quickly switched full-time. We’ve saved so much money and it feels great not throwing nappies in the bin.” – Trieste, Bexley.

If you’re thinking about using reusable nappies and would like some advice, join us at our upcoming Reusable Nappy Information Session and Pop-up Shop, 10am - 11:30am at Danson Children & Youth Centre, DA7 4EZ:

Earlier this week (Tuesday 7 July), we were delighted to welcome EC UK to our Reusable Nappy Meet and Give & Take at the Islington Ecology Centre.

Parents learnt about Elimination Communication (EC) – also know as baby potting – a gentle approach that works with your baby’s natural development by recognising their cues and introducing the potty from an early age. It can encourage communication, support earlier continence and help reduce nappy waste.

Parents also explored the EC Babies app and some even took home a free Top Hat Potty.

💬 “There’s no harm in trying Elimination Communication whilst on maternity leave. It’s a lovely way to spend quality time together while introducing your baby to the potty.“ – Leah, Haringey
