Join us at our Bexley Reusable Nappy Information Session and Pop-up Shop!

Weā€™ll talk you through everything you need to know about reusable nappies ā€“ what they are and how to use, wash and dry them. Weā€™re also on hand for reusable nappy advice if youā€™re already using them but need support.

On the day you can apply for your Ā£50 voucher in-person. Your voucher is redeemable for a pack of reusable nappies with the pop-up shop, or a nappy laundry service.

Our event coincides with Danson Youth Trustā€™s WELLBABY CommuniTEA session.

Voucher Scheme Information:
If youā€™re a parent or foster carer with a baby under 18 months or expecting a baby, and you live in the London Borough of Bexley, you can claim a Ā£50 voucher. Your voucher can be used towards the upfront cost of buying reusable nappies or a nappy laundry service.

Whether you're just starting out or already using reusable nappies, we offer free, impartial advice and support to families across London.

Our website has useful information and practical advice, but if you'd rather chat things through, we'd love to hear from you.

Also, if you live in one of our voucher participating London boroughs, you could also be eligible for a voucher worth up to Ā£70 to help with the upfront cost of buying reusable nappies or trying a reusable nappy laundry service.

The scheme is available to:
ā€¢ Expectant parents, parents and foster carers with a baby under 18 monthsā€Ø
ā€¢ Families with a child under 5 who has a disability requiring the use of nappies

Participating London boroughs: Barnet, Bexley, Brent, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, Kingston, Waltham Forest and the City of Westminster.

One voucher per baby, because every baby makes a difference.

At our stall you'll be able to:

ā€¢ Learn about reusable nappies - see for yourself what they're like and how to use, wash and dry them.

If you are an expectant parent, parent or foster carer with a baby under 18 months or under the age of 5 with a disability requiring the use of nappies, and you live in Kingston, then you can apply! Inviting you to our reusable nappy meet and give & take which takes place on Thursday 23rd July at Walthamstow Toy Library and Play Centre, 6 Somers Road, E17 6RX.

The event timings are now: 1pm to 2.30pm.

At our event:

Receive reusable nappy advice and apply for your Ā£70 voucher on the day.

Donate no longer needed, good quality, reusable nappies, and take away anything for free! No need to bring to take. We are only accepting reusable nappies ā€“ no baby clothes, maternity wear or bulky items. Please ensure the nappies are clean and in useable condition for the next baby.

Meet other local parents with babies of a similar age.

We look forward to seeing you at our event.

Earlier this week (Tuesday 7 July), we were delighted to welcome EC UK to our Reusable Nappy Meet and Give & Take at the Islington Ecology Centre.

Parents learnt about Elimination Communication (EC) ā€“ also know as baby potting ā€“ a gentle approach that works with your babyā€™s natural development by recognising their cues and introducing the potty from an early age. It can encourage communication, support earlier continence and help reduce nappy waste.

Parents also explored the EC Babies app and some even took home a free Top Hat Potty.

How to wash and dry reusable nappies:

Step 1 ā€“ quick cold rinse (just the nappies and any reusable wipes)

Step 2 ā€“ wash up to 60ĀŗC. Add towels or baby clothes to fill the load.

Step 3 ā€“ hang to dry away from direct heat. Outside or inside on an airer.
