My Japan

My Japan This is a crowdsourced photographic initiative, spreading the love of Japan. Over the last 12 months we received 1800 photographs from people from 21 countries.

Through the power of imagery & social media we share and celebrate the beauty and good news of Japan. http://www.youtube.com/embed/g2OzAwNPwlg

Weeks after the March 11th earthquake and tsunami we asked on Facebook; ‘What does Japan mean to you?’
More than 1000 photos of hope, love, and beauty streamed in. This resulted in three exhibitions in Tokyo, a coffee table book and a postcard series. Japa

n needs visitors now more than ever. My Japan the project means spreading the good news and beauty of Japan and its people. Our aim is to bring people back to Japan and to share the beauty and joy of this magical land. All proceeds from the sales of the exhibitions will go to JEN NPO to help the victims of the devastating earthquake & tsunami. Anyone can get involved: Simply upload and/or vote (like) for your favorite images on Facebook
