Created in January 2014, Music Venue Trust aims to secure the long-term future of GMVs in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, whether they are iconic venues such as Hull Adelphi, Exeter Cavern, The 100 Club, Band on the Wall, King Tut’s, and Clwb Ifor Bach, or lesser-known venues that are equally important to their geographical or musical community. These venues play a crucial role in

the development of British music, nurturing local talent, providing a platform for artists to build their careers and develop their music and their performance skills. Music Venue Trust is a charity registered with the Charity Commission of England and Wales, registration no: 1159846

Music Venue Trust (Scotland) is a charity registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator: Charity Number SC052001

EVERYWHERE AT ONCE isn’t just about celebrating grassroots music venues.

It’s also about supporting organisations doing incredible work across the music and charity sectors.

This year, profits from our PR shows will be shared equally between four incredible charities:
• Teenage Cancer Trust
• Nordoff & Robbins
• War Child
• Help Musicians

Each organisation supports people through some of life’s most challenging circumstances, whether that’s serious illness, conflict, mental health challenges, financial hardship or access to music therapy.

By supporting EVERYWHERE AT ONCE, you’re helping support their work too.

There’s a map for that.

Did you know we have a tool on the Everywhere At Once website that shows grassroots music venues across the UK?

This June, they all come alive at once.

How do you make sure royalties reach the right creators?

In this clip from The Last Safe Space, Mark Davyd, Gareth Kelly and Audoo CEO Ryan Edwards discuss why better data matters, how inaccurate reporting affects grassroots music venues, and what can be done to improve the system.

One of the best things about grassroots music venues?

Walking in for one artist and leaving obsessed with another.

The biggest artists on the bill were once the artist nobody had heard of.

This weekend is your chance to discover the next one.

Who are you adding to your list?

Want access to top-of-the-line sound, lighting and backline equipment for free?

Music Venue Trust is looking for grassroots music venues in Northern Ireland to take part in Raise the Standard - a new initiative designed to remove equipment costs from your budget entirely.

Through a professionally managed "virtual warehouse", participating venues can access high-quality PA systems, lighting, backline, microphones, stands and leads, with maintenance, repairs and replacements all taken care of. No buying. No hiring. No unexpected bills when something fails. Just reliable, professional equipment ready for artists, crew and audiences.

Following the launch of the first dedicated Northern Ireland chapter of MVT's Annual Report earlier this year at Stormont, we're excited to be continuing our work alongside Belfast City Council to deliver practical support that strengthens grassroots music venues across the region.

If you're a grassroots music venue with a regular live music programme and would like to find out more, get in touch with us.

Grassroots music venues are where artists find their voice, audiences find new music and communities find each other.

Every venue has its own character. Every crowd has its own story. But they all share the same purpose: creating space for people to connect. "Honestly, the UK’s full of these proper special grassroots venues. Every one’s got its own feel – different stages, different crowds, all those little quirks that make them what they are – but they’ve all got that same heart."

That's what is celebrating this June.

Music Venue Trust is thrilled to join Culture Counts and stand alongside organisations across Scotland championing the value of culture in our communities.

"Scottish grassroots music venues are vital cultural infrastructure: places where talent is nurtured, connections are made, and culture is both expressed and experienced. By working together, we can help ensure Scotland's culture has a strong voice and receives the support it deserves."

- Stina Tweeddale, MVT Scotland Coordinator

We've heard from many people who have submitted comments in support of Stage & Radio and are concerned because Manchester City Council's planning portal still displays "There are no comments".

This is highly unusual. Most planning authorities publish comments during the consultation period, allowing the public to see the level of support and engagement around an application.

However, following direct correspondence with Manchester City Council, we have received confirmation that comments are being received and considered as part of the planning process, despite not being publicly visible.

So if you've already submitted a representation, thank you. Your voice has been heard.

If you haven't yet commented, please don't be discouraged by what appears on the portal. Thousands of people have already taken the time to support Stage & Radio, even if those comments cannot currently be viewed publicly.

The consultation closes on 11 June.

Every comment matters. Every voice counts.

Let's show just how much this venue means to Manchester's music community.

We’ll start.

Grassroots venues don’t just launch artists - they launch audiences too.

Everyone has a first live show. A first small room. A first moment it clicked.

Every night, grassroots music venues champion artists, build communities and create culture.

Venues pay millions in licence fees every year. But do the artists and songwriters whose music fills these rooms receive their fair share?

Today we're announcing a new partnership with Audoo to help answer that question.

Using real-world music usage data from 120 grassroots music venues across the UK, we'll be exploring whether current royalty distribution models accurately reflect what's actually being played on the ground.

The goal: better data, greater transparency, and a fairer system for artists, songwriters and venues.

Because when venues pay in, the right artists should benefit.
