The funds raised will go towards the upkeep of our ๐˜€๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—บ๐˜† ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—”๐—ฉ๐Ÿญ ๐—ฅ๐—ผ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜๐˜€, helping children affected by cancer stay connected with their school, friends and education while they are receiving treatment.

The rain did not just turn up, it moved in! It rained pretty much continuously and unfortunately the event had to be brought to an early close after the second heat of racing. Normally there would be three heats but the weather had other ideas.

There was still plenty of excitement, though, including a dramatic final race where one of the boats even capsized.

Our two teams, ๐—œ๐—ก๐—ง๐—˜๐—š๐—ฅ๐—” ๐—ช๐—œ๐—Ÿ๐——๐—–๐—”๐—ง๐—ฆ and ๐—–๐—–๐—–๐—ง ๐—ฃ๐—”๐—ก๐—ง๐—ข ๐—ฃ๐—”๐——๐——๐—Ÿ๐—˜๐—ฅ๐—ฆ, did not quite make it to the final but they certainly deserve a medal for staying uprightโ€ฆ

But the biggest result of the dayโ€ฆ

A HUGE thank you to everyone who took part, fundraised, donated, cheered from the sidelines and braved the elements to support The Chartwell Charities.

Despite the rain, the shortened racing a it was a brilliant day and we had so much fun!

When a child is diagnosed with , the impact reaches far beyond the hospital. Treatment can mean long journeys to appointments, time away from school and friends, uncertainty for parents and siblings and a childhood that suddenly looks very different.

The Chartwell Children's Cancer Trust provides practical, emotional and financial support to help children and their families through some of those challenges, and this month, we will be highlighting some of the support services we provide for our local communities.
