As World Dementia Month comes to an end, we’re reflecting on the importance of ensuring that people living with dementia and their carers feel connected, included and supported.
Through our 4th Memory Tree Café Selsdon Community Clubhouse, we work together to support people living with dementia and their carers, sharing a welcoming space for connection, new friendships and social activities in their local community.
Special thanks to Garfield Weston Foundation for the funding that has enabled this partnership to flourish and positively impact om people living with dementia. 💙

Our Dolly Parton tribute brought the Age UK Croydon community together for music, laughter and plenty of fun! 💕

Events like this are a wonderful way to meet new people, try new things, make friends and support our mental and overall wellbeing. 🥰

Age UK Croydon is looking for two new members to join our Healthy Lifestyles Service!

🏃‍♀️ Exercise & Wellbeing Officer
🕐 21 hours per week – 3 days
💷 £16,894 pro rata (£28,156 FTE)
📅 Fixed-term to 31 March 2027, with potential to become permanent subject to funding.

🌟 Senior Exercise & Wellbeing Officer
🕐 21 hours per week – 3 days
💷 £18,211 per annum (£30,352 FTE)
📅 Fixed-term to 31 March 2027, with potential to become permanent subject to funding.

Both roles will help support older people across Croydon to stay active, healthy, connected and independent. 💪❤️

Our Healthy Lifestyles Service delivers a range of activities including:
✨ Seated and standing exercise
✨ Health checks and health hubs
✨ Social engagement activities
✨ Memory Tree Cafés
✨ Activities in community venues and care homes

📍 Based across Croydon
