Meet four-year-old Elijah 👋❤️
Back in June, Elijah’s life changed forever when our medical volunteer team travelled for a life-saving mission to Jamaica in partnership with Gift of Life International and Chain of Hope Jamaica to treat children suffering with heart disease.
Elijah was born with a complex heart condition and underwent a resection of a discrete subaortic membrane, performed by Chain of Hope Trustee Professor Victor Tsang and local cardiac surgeon Dr Sherard Little.
Thanks to their expertise, alongside our incredible medical volunteers and the dedicated local cardiac team, Elijah is now looking forward to a healthier future where one day he hopes to become a firefighter.
This mission marked our 30th year of mending little hearts in Jamaica, a milestone that holds even more meaning as we celebrate 30 years of Chain of Hope.
But there are still so many children like Elijah waiting for the chance to live the healthy, happy lives like they deserve.
That’s why this September, we’re asking YOU to take on our 30 for 30 challenge. 👀
Choose your challenge and take it on for 30 days. Walk, run, cycle, swim, hit the gym, give something up or get creative and make it your own!
Every challenge, every mile and every pound raised can help us reach more children in need of life-saving cardiac care.
Do it for Elijah. Do it for the many little hearts still waiting to be mended. ❤️
