The majority of us have never been really thirsty or hungry. We never had to leave our houses and walk tens of miles in search of water or scrounge for food. We simply turn on
the tap and the water comes out CLEAN or we are too spoilt for choice in selecting something to eat. Yet there are billions of people who don’t have access to clean water or food. There are almost 7 billion people in the world and it is really difficult to imagine sometimes how that looks like, however one in four live in abject poverty. There is a 1 in 7 chance that a person will be born hungry. More than 400 million people have no access to safe water. One in eight people in our world don’t have access to the most basic of human needs. Just put yourself into the shoes of one of those few billion people. They are very real, imagine following them on their daily journey. Carry water in yellow fuel cans, line up at a food camp and wait more than eight hours for a turn and to know that there is no food available. You can make a difference, we’re not offering the solution however instead simple things that work. Things like clean water facilities and sustainable means to grow food. For simply £3 a month, thats just 10p a day, we know to how HELP millions.
