The Society of Feline Artists (S.O.F.A) is a society of artists who are interested in the representation of cats in fine art.
Subjects range from the humble moggy and the friendly domestic tabby to the more exotic breeds like Siamese, Burmese and Bengals and of course the big cats. From the nobility and drama of the wild cat to the playful kitten - all are painted with the mastery of artists who know and understand their subject.

Spring has officially sprung on the pages of our 2026 S.O.F.A. Calendar! This month, we are featuring the wonderfully colorful Bob The Visitor by Patricia Clements S.O.F.A. We love the energetic movement in Patricia's pastel work, the bright red tulips and bold patterns make this the perfect piece to celebrate the return of color to our gardens (and our homes!).

About S.O.F.A.
The Society of Feline Artists (S.O.F.A) is a unique society of fine artists who are interested in the representation of cats in fine art. S.O.F.A was founded in 1994 with the aim of promoting excellence in and an appreciation of feline art in all its forms. We have had an annual exhibition showing the work of our members at the Llewellyn Alexander gallery in London for 22 years.
Subjects range from the humble moggy and the friendly domestic tabby to the more exotic breeds like Siamese, Burmese and Bengals and of course the big cats. From the nobility and drama of the wild cat to the playful kitten - all are painted with the mastery of artists who know and understand their subject.
The Society is open to all feline artists working in any media or style. Eligible work may depict any members of the cat family from the largest wild cats to the smallest domestic cat.
