Chantelle Mathole, BANG Young Leader, recently visited Berkeley Group Plc, where she explored the Grand Union and Imperial Wharf developments and gained first-hand insight into the property development industry.

Reflecting on the experience, Chantelle described the visit as eye-opening and inspiring. Learning about Berkeley Group’s approach to development and sustainability, while seeing the projects up close, strengthened her passion for real estate and reinforced her ambition to pursue a career in the industry.

The experience helped Chantelle “dream bigger” and confirmed that property development is the path she wants to follow.

Thank you to Katie Sampford and the Berkeley Group team for providing such an inspiring opportunity for BANG interns.

Today, Karim, a T-Level student and intern at BANG, showcased the development of a dedicated Youth Leadership website.

The website has been developed by T-Level students from Saracens High School.

Each student was assigned a specific role, including copywriting, coding, web design, and research.

By working collaboratively as a team, they have created a youth-led website that reflects how BANG embeds youth leadership across its initiatives, delivered both locally and nationally.

Through projects like this, we are developing young people’s leadership skills within their areas of study, equipping them to take on leadership positions within organisations and create meaningful impact.

We would like to thank Youth Careers Collective and Saracens High School for this fantastic partnership and their continued commitment to supporting young people.

We are building a community of young leaders at BANG.

They don't just lead projects and contribute to their success; they also get to know the organisation, connect with other young leaders, and learn and lead together.

We share ideas on how to deliver projects effectively, while also connecting through our shared interests, such as coffee, fitness, food, travel, and webtoons.

We are building a community of young people who not only want to achieve their goals and aspirations but also support one another, grow together, and create a positive impact in the communities around us.

What a beautiful day at Families Together 💜☀️

On Saturday, families came together to connect, laugh, play, relax and enjoy a community space created with SEND families at the heart.

The smiles, the energy and the feedback said it all — families had fun, children felt included, and many of you were already asking, “When is the next one?”

A huge thank you to every family who came along and helped make the day so special.

We also want to thank all the amazing partners, supporters, volunteers and facilitators who made Families Together possible:

💜 Port Royal Patties — thank you for sponsoring us with your delicious patties.

💜 Berkeley Group — thank you for volunteering your staff time and supporting the smooth running of the event.

💜 Manor School — thank you for your continued support and commitment to inclusive spaces for children, young people and families.

💜 The BEAT London — thank you for supporting the event with a free radio advert and helping us spread the word.

💜 Motion4Kids — thank you for delivering such a fantastic range of sporting activities.

💜 Taz – Hypnotic — thank you for getting everyone moving, dancing and having fun.

💜 KJ Crafttime — thank you for leading the arts and crafts sessions.

💜 Misha — thank you for providing holistic massage therapies for parent carers.

💜 Brent’s Early Help Service – Children, Young People and Community Development — thank you for providing families with helpful information and support.

💜 CNWL NHS Trust – Brent Health Matters — thank you for sharing information with parent carers and supporting family wellbeing.

💜 Nines Health and Fitness — thank you for giving advice, information and support to parent carers.

And finally, a heartfelt thank you to the SEND community for attending, having fun with us and bringing so much warmth, joy and community spirit in the sunshine. ☀️

This is just the beginning…

Keep an eye out — there is more to come from BANG’s Families Together programme. 💜

Yesterday, we welcomed Jamil, Founder of JamTech and Senior Developer, to the BANG office to meet T-Level students from Saracens High School.

This engagement provided an opportunity for the students to showcase the youth leadership website they have been developing using front-end programming languages, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

During this internship, which began in February, the students have delivered a digital marketing campaign for the Grand Union
Development Trust with support from our new partners, Berkeley Group.

At BANG, they have developed their copywriting, software development, graphic design, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills through the creation of the youth leadership website and the delivery of the Grand Union marketing campaign.

In addition, they have engaged with professionals across a range of industries, including property development, social enterprise, and software development.

We are committed to developing confident young leaders who can access opportunities and build strong portfolios of work.

We would like to thank Jamil for visiting the BANG office, connecting with the interns and senior leadership team, and sharing his wisdom, experience, and insights into the world of technology and consulting.

We look forward to continuing to develop our relationship with Jamil as we support young people who aspire to become leaders, entrepreneurs, and positive contributors to their communities.
