Today’s session with Bang’s senior leaders focused on bringing their five-year vision boards to life. Over the past two sessions, the leaders have been developing a clear and inspiring vision for where they want to be over the next five years.

Today, each leader presented their vision board to the group, sharing their goals, aspirations, and how they envision Bang supporting them in turning those ambitions into reality.

This was followed by an inspiring group discussion, where leaders exchanged ideas, encouraged one another, and reflected on the importance of staying focused and committed to their vision.

It was a powerful opportunity for the leaders to learn from each other, build confidence, and motivate one another to keep pushing forward. 🤝

Most importantly, the session reinforced the importance of having a clear vision, supporting one another, and taking purposeful steps towards achieving their goals. 🚀

Earlier this month, BANG Young Leaders joined Berkeley Group and community organisations from across Southall for the Summer Fun Day at Parkside Yards.

The day brought together young people, children, families, residents, and local organisations for a day of activities, community engagement, and connection.

BANG Young Leaders played an active role throughout the event, welcoming residents, supporting registration, engaging local people through a community survey and helping to deliver activities for children, young people and families.

Working alongside the Berkeley Group team and local community organisations, they also supported the coordination and delivery of the day – putting their leadership skills into practice, taking ownership and helping to create a welcoming and inclusive experience for everyone who attended.

This video captures just some of the people, activities and moments that made the day special.

A huge thank you to Berkeley Group for continuing to create opportunities for BANG Young Leaders to develop their skills while making a positive contribution to the community, and to all of the community organisations that came together to make the Summer Fun Day possible.

It was brilliant to see so much of Southall’s community come together in one place. ❤️

We are developing young leaders like Tauhid Bin Ahmed, who is using his finance skills to build a simple dashboard that helps BANG understand how well its programmes are working.

The dashboard will bring together information from current and previous programmes, helping us see what is working, what needs improving and where changes should be made.

It will also help BANG demonstrate the impact of its programmes to funders, make better decisions using real evidence and improve programmes as they are being delivered.

Most importantly, Tauhid is gaining practical experience by using his skills to solve a real organisational challenge - developing as a young leader while helping BANG become more effective.

Southall Community Alliance visited BANG to gain a deeper understanding of the organisation, its work, and its contribution to the Southall community.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and explore opportunities for meaningful community engagement, including the development of new initiatives and strategic partnerships with community leaders, entrepreneurs, and local residents.

The discussion also focused on ways to support and inspire young people, with particular emphasis on building their skills, confidence, and leadership capabilities.

We explored opportunities for collaborative working that would enable young people to take a more active role in their communities, strengthen their voice and influence, and develop the skills and experience needed to become the community leaders of the future.

Scott Brownrigg visited BANG to explore how we can strengthen our relationship and create opportunities for young people interested in architecture, real estate, property development, and the built environment.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on preparing young people for careers in these industries through access to professionals, mentors, coaches and industry experts.

Senior BANG Young Leaders, Chantelle and Bridget, also attended the meeting, sharing their aspirations while developing their leadership skills by asking thoughtful questions and engaging with experienced professionals.

We look forward to building on these conversations and developing a strong relationship with Scott Brownrigg that helps more young people not only become leaders, but also access leadership opportunities, grow their professional networks and build successful careers in the built environment.

On Saturday, BANG Young Leaders supported the delivery of the Summer Fun Day at Parkside Yards in Southall alongside Berkeley Group.

Throughout the day, the young leaders welcomed residents by supporting registration, engaged local people through a community survey to better understand the needs and aspirations of Southall, and delivered a range of fun activities for children, young people, and families.

They also worked alongside the Berkeley Group team to help set up and deliver the event, helping to create a welcoming, engaging and inclusive experience for everyone who attended.

Most importantly, the day gave BANG Young Leaders the opportunity to put their leadership skills into practice by taking ownership, supporting vendors, coordinating the sequence of activities, and representing BANG with confidence.

Thank you to Berkeley Group for supporting BANG Young Leaders and providing them with the opportunity to make a positive impact while building stronger connections with the Southall community.

We look forward to continuing our partnership and creating even more opportunities for young people to lead.

This week, BANG Young Leaders took part in a BANG Board Action Planning Meeting.

The session brought together board members, senior staff, interns, and young people to shape the future of BANG collaboratively - ensuring that young people's voices remain at the heart of the organisation and that the activities we deliver are designed with them, not just for them.

During the meeting, BANG Young Leaders shared their ambition to build sustainable businesses following the successful pilot of their pop-up food stall at the Grand Union Summer Festival. After generating nearly £1,000 in sales, they reflected on what they had learned from the experience and explored how those skills could be applied to developing a range of youth-led businesses in the future.

Jennifer, BANG's CEO, shared the organisation's strategic vision, focused on building strong partnerships to deliver our four key entities: BANG Edutainment, BANG Worldwide, Stacks, and BANG Homes.

The meeting also served as a leadership development session ahead of this weekend's Summer Fun Day at Parkside Yards in Southall, where BANG Young Leaders will put their planning into action by engaging with local residents, delivering activities for children and families, and strengthening relationships within the community.

Looking ahead, our ambition is to make BANG both people-proof and youth-led through robust systems, clear processes, and shared leadership that enable young people to thrive, lead, and shape the future of the organisation.

Over the last month, BANG Young Leaders have been working collaboratively to plan and deliver the Summer Fun Day at Parkside Yards in Southall, taking place on Saturday 1 August 2026, from 11:00am to 6:00pm.

As part of their preparation, the young people have designed a community survey to better understand the needs and interests of local residents, helped coordinate games and activities for children and families, and taken part in training to develop their communication, leadership and community engagement skills.

The Summer Fun Day will provide an opportunity for BANG Young Leaders to engage with the Southall community, connect with local children, young people and families, and put their planning into action by delivering a fun, inclusive and welcoming event.

The event will also strengthen BANG’s partnership with Berkeley Group while building meaningful relationships with residents, local organisations and community leaders in Southall, creating the foundation for future collaboration and community-led initiatives.

Today, BANG Young Leaders took part in a presentation workshop focused on developing a six-month vision and plan for supporting young people through our Summer and Winter Clubs.

They worked through their ideas, exploring how they would support and engage young people in the community over the next six months.

It was great to see their passion, creativity and commitment come together as they prepared their presentations.

We are building a new generation of young leaders.
