AS Summer Social – Saturday 20th June at Birdland Park & Gardens!
We’re delighted to invite members, friends, and family to our Summer Social in the beautiful Cotswolds.

🎟 Entry (pay on the gate)
• Adults: £12.50
• Children (3-15): £9.00
Everyone is welcome to join us for a relaxed day out.

🕒 Schedule
The park opens from 10:00, and you’re free to explore at your leisure. Birdland features over 50 habitats across 9 acres, including:
• Out of Africa
• Parrot Pandemonium
• Penguin Shore
• The Desert House

🎤 Keeper Talk
Time & location TBC - Alistair Kean (Head Keeper) will give a talk on his work with the Punta San Juan Program in southern Peru.

🐾 Useful Information
• Dogs: Well‑behaved dogs welcome (short leads only). Water bowls available around the park.
• Accessibility: Flat, scenic gardens with wheelchair‑friendly paths. Staff are happy to help.
• Parking:
- Rissington Road (1‑min walk)
- Station Road (5‑min walk)
Additional paid parking may be available at Bourton Vale Cricket Club, Manor Fields, and The Cotswold School.
Arrive early - weekends can be busy.

We have recently re-launched the Stewart Pyper Conservation Fund, which is primarily intended to support bird species recovery projects with an avicultural element.
Applications are welcomed from projects anywhere in the world, including in situ conservation projects. Great to see the flamingos back in their habitat at Dudley, after the enclosure suffered significant damage earlier this year.

Perfect timing for our visit in a few weeks for our AGM and Spring Social on Saturday 18th April.

We are delighted to share the venue and confirmed date for our Summer Social 2026. This year, we will be gathering at Birdland Park & Gardens, Bourton-on-the-Water, on Saturday 20th June 2026, a fantastic setting that we’re really looking forward to visiting together.

Before then, we very much hope to catch up with many of you at the Spring AGM & Social, taking place at Dudley Zoo & Castle on Saturday 18th April 2026. It promises to be another enjoyable and sociable day, and we hope you can join us.
