MRKH Connect

MRKH Connect We are a registered charity (reg. 1157477) with a mission to connect and support those with MRKH MRKH Connect is a registered charity in England and Wales.

We are a non-profit, aiming to connect those with MRKH all over the world; providing a safe place to create lifelong friendships. MRKH Connect was founded in 2014 by Kelly and Janet. Their aim, which remains today, was to relieve and promote the relief of those diagnosed with Mayer Rokitansky Kuster Hauser (MRKH) Syndrome and to provide support both to them and their families. We provide a platfor

m for those with MRKH to connect and share experiences together in a safe environment whilst providing public resources for those with MRKH and their families as well as the wider community. We also work towards advancing public awareness of MRKH through education and information and we campaign for better access to medical care, reducing the time to diagnosis and therefore improving the time to get to critical support post diagnosis

✨️ NEW RESEARCH ✨️

We are very excited to share this new research from Samantha Stephen who is a social scientist and an MRKHer herself, studying her PhD on the social response in the UK to emerging reproductive technologies such as artificial wombs.

Through a focus group facilitated by MRKH Connect we worked together to revise and discuss the interview questions and share perspectives from different stages, ages and cultures from our community.

This truly is community informed research where the community voices are critical to the outcome yet are often marginalised in such discussions. Favoured far below policy makers but without taking into account the view of those that such new innovations may support.

Discussions matter.

Whether you are not sure if this is for you, never heard of it (but curious) or very interested to learn more, all perspectives are valid.

Research will be in the form on one to one online interviews with anyone in the UK with MRKH. All outcomes will be anonymised. This research has been granted the appropriate ethical approval.

If you are interested to learn more then please email Sam directly where she will share more information also check out the link below 👇

Hands down, ‘disclosure’ is one of the most popular topics within the MRKH community. And this makes sense — it’s a huge part of our lives. Ironically, support is key in healing and recovery, yet, talking about it is equally confronting and scary. Drilling further down, it can be super helpful to ask a set of questions to understand, evaluate, and determine the “right” time to disclose an MRKH diagnosis.

Here are 7 questions, prompts even, to help with the process of an MRKH disclosure. Scroll 👉👉👉to read more.

What have we missed? Comment below - we’d love to hear from you. 💜✨

We so often experience trust as something we search for in someone else. But what if trust starts with us? What if we are nailing our hardest days? What if we tuned into our inner intuition rather than outsourcing it to a random algorithm?

We’re doing it!
We’re showing up!
No matter what.

Proud of you.
